After a new post, i get taken to an ad page. Which is fine cause I know the bills need to be paid...but i'm left stuck there. there is no "return to forums" button.

I am finding that ad that you're taken to after making a post very annoying as well.

Does this work for Safari? I need to download it too, I have this annoying Tesco/o2 ad, after every first post on a page

Doesn't seem like it.. they say on their website:

But I'm sure there's a good adblocker for safari too.. Safari AdBlock seems to be quite good.

Can any of you who are getting the ad that freezes, post a screen cap of that, please? I'll make sure they are aware of it.

Ads often are very annoying, but there is a problem if you can't get rid of them to get back to reading the forums ... so I think there's a glich.

Here's a thread which explains a bit about how to do it. Saving flash images ... Screencaps

You need to have a photo or picture editing program of some sort, photoshop, paint ..... or I think anything that came with a digital camera would work too ... if you can creat new images in it.

I thought that there was a thread for problems with the ads on the site but I couldn't see it, sorry!

The drop-downs are going behind the herbal essences ads which are running today. This seems to happen so often though, and I don't know if it's a z-index issue but if it is could someone maybe just raise whatever the navigation is set to? Or put in place a maximim for advertising? It's pretty much renders the drop-downs useless, especially the search (I know you can open the search in a new tab but it's annoying not to be able to use the quicksearch)

There is. I'll report it and move your post there. It's Sunday ... so don't expect to get resolution today. The don't consider an over active ad to be something for the emergency weekend staff ... but I'm sure they'll get to it this coming week.

Our intrepid resident wizard Buffaloed has implemented a second navigation bar at the bottom of the page, where it is unlikely to be covered by any ads.

Due to the variations between browsers, the rotation of the ads and changes in how the ads are produced, it is likely that from time to time the top navigation bar will continue to be affected. We hope that having the second navigation bar at the bottom will help.

Ha! Cool. That's something I asked for on one of these threads 3 or 4 years ago.

Would be nice if it was moved up just a bit though, maybe between the Quick Reply box and the Posting Rules.

It will definitely be useful so that it's possible to use the quick-search function (which I use a lot) when there is an issue with the advertising. Although Echoes has a point as users may not realise it's down there, but I do so I'm happy
