This may sound like a dumb question, but do the same rules apply for twitter? i.e., if a person tweets a photo, can we just copy and paste that URL into the image icon or is that still hot linking / taking bandwidth?

It's still hotlinking. Twitter may or may not care about the bandwidth, I don't really know, but if the member deletes the photo from Twitter or its link changes for any reason, it will still result in a broken image link here, so we prefer you don't. Good question!

Hello. I have uploaded my own images to postimage.org & I have posted to tfs but my pics are never in a straight line only 2 @ a time. When I right click many options come up & I am confused! What am I doing wrong?

I don't use postimage (and we don't provide tech support for them) but looking at the code in your last post, a hard line break is inserted after every second image, that's why there are only two on a line. It's not a problem from the forum's standpoint.

If anyone uses postimage and knows what the settings are, feel free to offer advice.

Click it, and then you will have many choices but choose the '1 Line' as pictured here:



And then the URLs at the left box will change and you can go straight copy/paste the url to post it here!

Hi, I'm sorry if this isn't the right thread to ask but I was recently reading a blog post about posting copyrighted photos. The author said that she had been sued for using a photo that did not belong to her even though she accredited the source. Is this the same on TFS or are the rules slightly different? I have posted a few photos through my photobucket - always saying which website I originally found them - is this enough or am I better getting specific permission, i.e. paying a licensing fee from a specific website?

Also, am I right in saying that Zimbio photos are covered under creative commons license?

No ... it's big for me. It's clickable, but it doesn't lead to a photo, just the postimage uploead page.

I post clickable thumbnails so that I can share photos without eating member bandwidth. The intent was that anyone who was interested could click on the thumbnail for the larger image. Apparently, that's not working.

Several members have stated they cannot see the full images; when they click on the thumbnail they are taken to a my Photobucket album with the same tiny image. This does not happen to me. When I click on one of my thumbnails, I am taken to my Photobucket album where the larger image is displayed.

I have checked my settings in Photobucket; The "Link back to album" option is selected. Would you please click on the photo below and let me know if you are taken to the larger image?

Your thumbs work perfectly fine for me.
But if you're having problems with photobucket, you should try imageupper

I'm not sure if this is the right thread for it, but my computer won't let me access the Miu Miu S/S 2013 campaign thread page 9 because there is Malware detected (something about turboimagehost)...

Also, since there are some changes regarding Postimage.org, what's the best image host to upload photos, where I can use an URL and that also has thumbnails... Can't really find one as good as Postimage.org.
Also, what were the changes regarding Postimage.org again?
