It looks like mods are really cracking down on hotlinking. Is that going to be a new rule?

No ... we aren't cracking down. There is no rule against it, actually and there never has been.

But there might be a rule at the other end and even if there isn't, hotlinking is considered poor netiquette. We do encourage members to use a hosting site or to attach them here, instead.

If a site owner contacts us because it's drawing too much of their bandwidth or if some images are causing some sort of problem for us ... then we will delete and advise the member who posted it.

^ Ok, now I understand. Thank you. I had seen some mods get on users to hotlinking Twitter photos. I guess they show up sometimes and not (like Getty photos).

You have to pick direct link (from "share this image panel") from photobucket and insert it your post via "Insert image" buttom on your reply. (Yellow landscape on second row, 2nd from right)

Does anyone know if you have an account on tinypic or imageshack and you upload through your account, is there a limit to the number of uploads either in number or total size (bandwidth)? I don't want to get into a Photobucket situation happen where you get a notice that you've run out of space / uploads?

Same question for fashionpix.org.

Guys, I have a probably very strange question. All the picture that I download (from my computer, using the TFS attachments) turn out to be very small. They fit the requirements in terms of size & dimentions but they're just so tiny! Is there any way to make them bigger ( I'm probably the only one with this porblem)?
P.S. I checked the thread but couldn't find anything realted to my question.

^Hi Astamundi... if you click on the attached image it will bring it up larger. I checked a few of your posts & they work fine when doing that.

Yeah ... it's just the way the attachements feature works.

If you are comparing the size to what others post ... they probably have slightly larger images because they are hosting them elsewhere and then posting them here ... rather than attaching them. Eventually, you will run out of attachement space anyhow ... so it's something for you might want to consider if you want larger pics in the posts. But what I am seeing initally looks good to me ... not that much smaller that the original size.
