Posting Pictures from my Computer ... Using the Attachments feature

have a little problem with uploading trom imageshack. i've upladed to the forums numerous times before, but i only uplaod once a month of singapore bazaar and apparently i have forgotten the process of uploading from imageshack, today when i tried to upload, the pictures wont show, it just shows the links. i've tried for the past hour, but to no avail. anyone have a step by step instruction for image upload thru imageshack?...

How can I resize the pictures I'm trying to post so that they are small and open fullsize if you click them? Those which have that black block on the bottom telling the real size of the pictures ie 600x300 etc? I'm confused.

those pictures you are referring to (with the black block at the bottom) are images typically uploaded to image shack etc.. tFS does to the best of my knowledge not have that feature in our image attachment system.

Ok, but is there a way to make pictures re-sized in attachments, so when clicked they open up bigger?

there's a certain limit of size for attached pictures but within this limit clicking on the attachment will always show the attached image in the real size > bigger

why is some of the pictures that some have posted, on the Star Style forum--with the celeb,,,JUDE LAW ,,,saying that its hotlinked?????/ It didnt have the problem b4. the images by kochi and mine (karishma21) are not showing up. i used imageshack . it took me a while to post it.....did i not follow the rules???help!

imageshack recently decided to ban all linked images from this site. i guess it costed them too much bandwith. it's frustrating cuz all my imageshack hosted pics dont show up, neither do any other members'.

so either switch to another reliable imagehost, or gang up and write a petition to have our pics recovered.

since being on tFS the ONLY image server i've used is ImageShack!! All my pictures GONE!!! ARGHH!!!!

^I think you can still access the images if you copy and paste the URL into your browser and goto it directly...but wow, wow -- yellow frogs are now everywhere on the forum

ETA: Never mind, I don't think that works, either >.< I thought they had simply disabled hotlinking from tFS but still stored the files...but it seems that they've purged some of them

The following types of files constitute "abuse" may not be uploaded under any circumstances:

• Pornographic files. This includes, but is not limited to, files depicting genitalia, nudity, or sexual situations.
• Files that are illegal and/or are in violation of any United States laws.
• Files that infringe on the copyrights of any entity excluding the user.
• Non-image or non-swf files. This includes archived non-image files.
• Files intending to harass or spam, or promote anything for commercial profit.

If any domain hotlinks to abusive files, any file hotlinked on that domain will display this image, and the domain's owner must ensure the quick removal of all files hotlinked from ImageShack® on that domain. Domains containing the phrases "toplist", "topsites", "porn", or "hentai" are banned regardless of abuse.


Uploading abusive files may result in the immediate termination of the user's ability to use ImageShack® or any of its provided services. The ImageShack® website may not load, all ImageShack®-hosted files may not load, and all files and accounts related to the abusive files will be subject to deletion. Maybe if the mods contact imageshack and remove the offending image/s they will restore hotlinking? *crosses fingers*

ETA: or maybe that's not what they mean...i think i read it wrong Oh well... what a mess this has created of the threads.

kinda feels like a big waste of time (not that modelizing is very productive in the first place haha but you know what I mean)

hopefully something can be sorted out between the mods & imageshack.
