As discussed earlier in this thread, you can not cut and paste names and email addy's .... you must actually type them in. The system does not recognize anthing that has been cut and pasted.
Can a mod please explain to me how to get invitation privileges, I don't see mine above 'new subscribed threads'. Is there a way to get them reinstated? (I don't know if I had them in the first place or whether they were removed) thanks
They must have been removed .... but not sure why. Everyone has privileges until they loose them for something ... because it is a privilege, not a right.
It can happen for various reasons: If you had a series of reminders and warnings the system will disable it at a certain point (each violation is weighted). If you invited someone who was a troll or spammer, they would have disabled it. If you had invited yourself and had more than one account which is not allowed, it would have been disabled when the accounts were merged.
You should have a section called Issue New Invitation at the top of your User CP. Remember that you must type in email addresses; the system will not recognize cut-and-pasted addresses.
I sent an invitation to my friend and the system sent it 3 times in the space of a few minutes! Not sure why this happened, but I'm not trying to violate the rules or anything so how do I cancel the fluke invites? Thanks in advance.
As long as they were all sent to the same email, she can only join once so it will do no harm. The invitations that are not picked up within 30 days drop off anyway. So no action on your part is needed.
Hi, I would like to ask one more question. I sent an invitation to my friend two weeks ago and he still don't have any message from TFS. I typed his name and e-mail adress. Should I send him one more invitation, or it's taking some time, when TFS will send him a message?
If his email is with hotmail, gmail or yahoo mail ... most likely his service blocked the automatic email that is sent. It might be in his spam folder, but more likely, it was just blocked completely.
He should go to his email account and add @thefashionspot.com as a safe sender. Then send him an invitation again.
If he's with Comcast ... they won't accept our emails and don't seem to have a "safe sender" list ... so he would have to get another email to get an invitation and also to join (because we send a confirmation email to confirm the new account, after he registers).
