there are a few members with more than 2 lines in their sigs, is it because they had them before the rule change? The rules in the announcement forum still says its 4 lines, can a mod clarify?

Actually ... you are correct ... I beleive that people with 4 lines had them before the system changed. And now if you change your signature or if you are a new member, you are forced into the 2 lines.

And, obviously we forgot to change the Community Rules when the system changed. The Rules are going to be re written very soon, to clarify a few things to do a clean up so they are a bit more well organized ... they sort of grew as issues came up. So we will change that to 2 lines when the changes are made, Thank you for pointing that out.

I'm having a problem with my signature! The problem is is that it won't let me make one! I've been trying for the last couple of months and every time I type a signature and click on either "save signature" or "preview signature" it says BB code is too big...or something. HELP! Why is it doing this? I never had any problems before.

Maybe you are making too long a signature ?
Unless your account is premium, the max number of line in a signature is 2, for premium members it's 4.
Font size is now limited to '2' and smaller as far as I know..

hmm i can't use 2 lines
for example i wanted to write 'Stegnarian' in second line but it already says there are too much lines

it is not important, i can live without it
just wanted to share

it may have something to do with the actual code...like you might have a bold tag or something on the 2nd line already? maybe check by switching editor-mode.

It's not a big problem, but I noticed that when I change my signature and click on "Save Signature" I come to the Avatar change panel...

Just as information, it's quite annoying when you want to edit the signature

Recently I put a signature and it was quoting my friend from another forum . This is a f*cking free forum you b*tch mongrel" it was supposed to be a joke. So why was it editted to "this is a privately owned forum" I wasnt even talking about tfs I was quoting a friend for a little fun

Or is swear words not allowed in sigs

We don't know yet what happened ... we know that a moderator cannot change signatures, so we know that it was not one of them. We have to check with all Team Leaders and Admins first ... it will take some time ... a day or two.

I think I've had my sig changed before. I'll admit it wasn't very prudent. Things happen.

It was misunderstanding on the part of an administrator but we've discussed it and you may change it back, if you wish. We allow profanity with asterisks in posts and therefore, the same is allowed in signatures.
