one more question.....
once you edit a post you can't edit it again? so you can only edit the post once and never twice?

for example i'm trying to edit the post up there but i can't. is it because i have already edited it once?

Hello & welcome fashion_demon... you cannot use an image as your signature & you are limited to 4 lines of text...You are allowed to edit your posts... but it has to be within 10 minutes... after that time you can no longer edit.

Moderator Note: Merged with existing thread about Signatures. See this thread for infomation about editing your posts.

Actually they allow only 2 lines of text in signatures now , I beleive at least for regular members. That changed some time ago .. a year or two.

Stupid question, but how I post a link in my signature, but have a word or two instead of just the link itself? You know like if I wrote "My Blog" and those words were the link to my blog instead of my actual blog URL just typed out. I used to know this code, but I can't remember it anymore.

Thanks in advance for any help!

You can use the insert link tool: write your words then select them then click on "Insert link"

then type the url of your page you want linked

I can't make a two-line signature anymore, even with small letters and few words...
I remember I was able to some time ago

TIA

Well you should be able to.. I don't know if our new WBulletin tech helper has done anything to limit members ability to make 'empty space' in the signature field..
Could that be it? Are you adding code to add space ?

just curious..
is there some reason why some people without signatures end up with a line at the end of their post and some don't?

Are you talking about the line that is just below your post .... under "is there some reason why"? That is the dividing line between your post and your signature area ... everyone has it. If you notice ... mine is just above my signature "Bette" and below this post. That's how mods can tell if it's something someone posted or if it's something that is part of a member's signature.

^ yes that's what I'm talking about
I noticed that some people such as myself don't have a signature and still have the line
others don't have a signature and don't have the line

Can you show me some posts without the line? ... I've never noticed that. I thought everyone has it ... signature or not.

I've checked a few accounts that do not have the line in the signature ... and compared them to some that do ... and the settings are the same. So ... I can offer no explanation as to why they are different.

The only thing that comes to mind, is maybe it might have to do with when they became a member ... perhaps the older members did not get the lines ... but now everyone does. But I did not think to check the sign up dates of these accounts ... so it's just speculation.
