If they are so large (like over 1500 pixels wide or 2000 pixels long) and they freeze or significantly slow your computer when downloading, just report them. We'll just delete them.
May I suggest having a thread where we can discuss some of the 'rules reminders' or other warnings/penalties/etc from moderators?
I just got a 'rules reminder' for "Off Topic Discussion" after I posted in Snejana's thread that a picture that someone else posted wasn't of Snejana, since there seemed to have been a debate about whether it was she or not. How is that off topic? I don't know if those reminders ever accumulate or end up being a factor, but they always make me feel bad when I get one.
There is such a thread to ask about why posts were deleted .... right here in Member Support ... but why would your want to air your dirty laundry in front of everyone?
We highly reccommend that you just contact any Moderator by a PM and ask. They will be happy to look at the whole situation and explain why it happened in a private way. If it was a mistake, they can also reverse it.
BTW ... getting a notice like that is not the same thing as a warning ... it's only to let you know why a post was deleted.
I am betting that you were caught up in a recent debacle where a member misidentified a picture ... and a whole bunch of members jumped on her. It took the thread off topic for about a dozen posts and created an argument, which is not appropriate in our threads. You should just have reported it as not being that person. We'd get the report right away (probably sooner than just noticing the problem), delete it and notify the posting member. Problem over, no arguments in the thread, no veering off topic.
Can we have a thread similar to the Avatar Factory one, but for wallpapers? I think it would be a neat idea to have the graphic makers create fashion-based wallpapers just like they do for avatars. I'm always looking to change my desktop but never find any interesting stuff online. I thought about making one but I wasn't sure if I could.
Wallpapers are not related to your Fashion Spot account ... so at this would be off topic in our Member Support forum.
But I think it would be fine to start one in Art & Design (subject to the approval of those mods, of course).
You should offer up a few to get it started and invite others to offer theirs too. You could also invite people to post pics that they'd like to have converted to the right size for wallpaper on various devices and invite those people who have photoshop or other editing software to help some of these members out. Effectively, doing it that way would be about the same as the Avi and Profile Pic threads here.
A nice idea, but I don't think that we have a way to do that that would be practical.
All magazine threads do have a 4 digit date in the title, so anyone who is interested can do a search by year (our search enginge requires at least 4 digits to work) ... and you will get a complete list of all threads about magazine issues that we have for that year. 12 months times dozens of magazines ... that's hundreds of threads for every year.
There really is no way to "sort" them all ... other than the search engine.
Also ... who would keep "sorting" them every month? It would have to be done by hand. Not me ... that's for sure. And not the moderators ... they already have a ton of work to do just trying to keep up with new posts and threads.
I think an option of seeing what was posted on the subscribed thread should be reconsidered, cause many times when I see that a new post about some of my favorite models has been posted,I get excited thinking there is some new work, but it turns out it was just a comment that has been posted.Sure I would read it anyway,if I have time and want to,but still...sometimes I just want to see a new work since I don't post that much, but just follow some thread instead...
I'm not sure exactly what your suggestion is, but it sounds like you do not want to be notified unless there is a new picture posted.
When you subscribe to a thread ... the system notifies you if there has been any new posts since the last time you checked in. There is no way that the subscription system can determine whether or not it contains a picture or not.
Please understand that tFS is a "discussion" forum ... and photos are there so our members may talk about them. We do have a lot of pictures ... because fashion is a visual thing. But that is not our main purpose here.
Of course, if you just want to view the pictures and not participate in the discussions, that's certainly OK. But, we encourage our members to add to the discussions in a meaninful way in addition to posting photos.
Can you please have a rethink about using Photobucket especially in the collections thread.
Just went to view the some more of the Milan collections and in a few of the threads none of the photos are showing up because of ''bandwidth exceeded''. This is why I don't use photobucket anymore. I really appreciate members posting the collections but there are other image hosting sites (with no porn pop-ups) that never have this problem.

^ I am against this restriction for a few reasons, primarily that it isn't fair to Photobucket Pro members who have paid for unlimited bandwidth, but I have brought it to the D&C mods so the team can discuss it. One of us will get back to you here. Thanks for the suggestion.
I know that its possible to search for threads that have 3 letters or less via the google custom search. But would it be possible to have a rule where if starting a thread with 3 or less letters that certain symbols are added to the end so those who don't know about the custom search can still find the thread that would otherwise be 'lost'.
Best Idea we've had about that so far, however I'm not sure it would work for searching and we'd have to make sure every member knows ... and understands why the titles are like that in some thread. So ... it's very complex and probably hard to enforce and publicize.
So, first I'll check it out to make sure that our search engine would pick it up. Then I'll take it to the mod team for discussion. That will take up to a week. I'll let you know.
