^^i would think that means that you can pay to have a link to your own website (xyz blog, xyz shopping site etc) somewhere on the site..

like paying to advertise on tFS..

yeah, that's what the post was about ... from their calculations this site gets enough traffic to charge about $100/month for an ad. server costs must be fairly high, but it's still a good amount of money for a simple link

you can enter other websites at that site to compare their values

That's probably the reason for the wagons and mules. FUEL is expensive!

I dont know......Im not gonna say anything until I see what the changes are, but I am definately excited for tFS' future. I think at the moment the only thing I dont like about tFS is the "Search" function lol its so useless.

I can't believe a lot of people have had negative reactions to this movement.

Can't we embrace change? I for one look forward to the development of this stellar community.

True, every community evolves...I think fear is what motivates a lot of people's concerns - not knowing how this forum will change. For now, we just need to trust AndyR's decision, and remain hopeful. Speculation, if we allow it, will drive us batty. Cheers to the direction ahead for our forum

^

spammers will be receiving offers they can't refuse in the mail any day now.

Seriously though I can't say I'm worried. I doubt tFS will lose the care of it's members, the previous owner and leaders wouldn't allow it would they? And other than that what do we have to worry about, it's not like they're going to change it in any way that doesn't suit the members since we're still playing the main roll in the life of the forum.

The members are playing the main role, indeed, Elli! And will continue to do so.

You'll see some changes in the skin of the forums made by management and some new and exciting content. But they are leaving us to manage ourselves in the forums for the most part. Any changes in the forums will mainly be a result of the moderator team (and there's a lot of us) ... who are just very involved members, anyway. The changes we make are usually to make things more interesting or to keep things running more smoothly, as we grow. And we will still seek opinions on many matters ... as we have in the past.

It will be a good combination of member participation plus some nice upscale features so I am looking forward to what is to come.
