To think only of the best, to work only for the best and to expect only the best. To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others as I am about my own. so good! just printed it and posted it in my planner

Stop Drinking Soda! It Is One Of The Worst Things You Can Put In Your Body. It Actually Strips You Of Nutrients, It's Loaded With Sugar And Chemicals.

Drink Water And Lots Of It

Apply Sunscreen

Use Olive Oil On Your Skin At Night!

Don't Let Yourself Get Too Stressed Out!

Keep the rubber side down.

Eat what you crave--obviously your body needs something in whatever it is you crave. Just eat it and keep going...

Thank you for this! It reminds me of my favorite poem, which I'm sure many are familiar with but it's good to read it over again..

Desiderata by Max Ehrmann

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.

As far as possible, without surrender,
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even to the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons;
they are vexatious to the spirit.

If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain or bitter,
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs,
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals,
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love,
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment,
it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be.
And whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life,
keep peace in your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

I can't avoid drinking Coke, it's a really bad habbit, I know.
And I absolutely can't drink lots of water, I just can't
Does the Olive oil work for greasy skin?, I bet not, right?

Okay, if you CAN'T avoid coke

Olive oil does work on all skin types. You can also mix olive oil and castor oil!

If you have a hard time drinking water, try to get to a happy medium.

Let's say you drink 3 cokes a day (just as an example). For every coke you drink, drink that many ounces of water.

So if you drink an 8 oz can of coke, drink 8 ounces of water. You don't have to do it all at once, do it over the course of the day.

Personally, if you are a soda junkie, and you start slowly incorporating more water into your system, the coke will start to become really strong, and you will almost start wanting it to be more watered down.

If I tried to drink a soda now, it would be hard going down my body

Can a moderator maybe edit the first post to include extracts from other's posts so we don't have to go through the whole thread? Things are repeated a lot

I think the best advice I ever got were through other people's quotes!

Here are 2 great ones from Steve Jobs of Apple.

"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of other's opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary."

"Almost everything--all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure--these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart."
-Steve Jobs

couldnt agree more with you.

I think its a vicious cycle. The more you do it - the more the chances of re-infection. I totally stopped and they all seem to have disappeared.

Yeah I stopped drinking soda .. years ago.. and I detest it now. The only time I force feed myself coke is in LITs (Long Island Iced tea)

Ok, so I'm still young, but here are a few things I've learnt over my few years of life.

Physical stuff:
-I swear by bio oil for my scars and stretch marks. Get then when they're first appearing to make sure you get the best results and use it twice a day on major problem areas. It's worth the effort.
-Make a serious effort to be healthy and exercise when you're younger, because getting to almost 200lbs before you're 17 isnt fun.
-Dont go on a diet, never go on a diet, just eat healthy and get enough exercise. I learnt the hard way about what diets can do to your brain.
-If you have fairly sensitive skin, dont over-exfoliate your face. I found that if I just exfoliate my face once a week rather then once a day, my skin is a whooole lot better.
-Moisturise religiously. I moisturise at least twice a day, and everyone comments on how amazing my skin is.
-Embrace curly hair. I have SUPER curly hair, and I used to hate it. I used to straighten it everyday and put on sooo much product. Now I dont straighten it, I let it hang curly and just put some curl spray, smoothing creme and finishing creme in it. Everyone comments on how gorgeous my hair looks now.
-WATER WATER WATER.
-Never eat white flour. It's just terrible and creates cravings for crap you dont need.

Mental:
-If you love someone, tell them! You have no idea if you'll be able to tell them this again.
-It's ok to take risks occasionally, dont be afraid to jump or you may spend the rest of your life regretting the fact you didnt.
-Hard work is all good, but sometimes you just have to do something that makes you happy. You cant work your *** off your entire life.
-Love yourself. I wish I did. Stop looking in the mirror and picking out your flaws and pick out what makes you beautiful instead.
-Dont try and change a person, it doesnt work.
-Be polite and smile. A smile goes a long way in this world.

Wow, I have lots to say. Hope I helped some people.
