So, my wife is taking me shopping for that ONE and only ONE special piece. I have my eye on several to choose from (by Ann Dem, Les Hommes and Watanabe), but feel free to throw in suggestions. I guess you guys have pretty much figured my style from my 1000+ posts, so suggest away.

faust - my husband as some really nice comme stuff from this season - the one i like best is his zip up nylon jacket in a grey/blue colour. He got it from CDG in London I think. He also has two of the 'shirt jacket' things which I am not so keen on. if stick to comme & you'll be looking lovely. well it does it for me anyway.

I am very disappointed with CDG for men this season. I'm drifting more and more toward Junya Watanabe's stuff - he is really a fresh infusion into CDG. Thanks for the input though, it is interesting to see what people like.

Well, what is lacking in your wardrobe? Do you have too many jeans and not enough trousers? Do you have enough shirts for summer? If you're only going to get one piece it should be something that completes whatever you already have.

I think thats what he thought initially - he bought a junya jacket too - kind of mud coloured - happy soldier and all that... I didn't like the CDG jackets & trousers with all those cartoons all on them.

I have everything At this point I consider myself a collector. I look for 1 or 2 pieces a season, but something unique - which allows me to spend more on it than if I was "shopping" instead.

Lucky you. There is always something that I need and that always takes precedent over what I want or find unique. I'd window shop with your wife, try some things on and then go for lunch having made a shortlist of the things you liked. Then talk it over with your wife as to which piece you like the most and why. Also listen to what she likes because well, you do want to look for her and she might point out things about it that you don't think about. "but it looks like so many of your other clothes" is one I get from my boyfriend sometimes.

banana's giving you some very sound advice....

let me guess the itinerary...seven...if...a...helmut lang?...maybe barney's?....

i'm guessing that by the way you've been talking about les homme...that you will wind up with something from them...

personally...i saw a great jacket by ann at a
and i love dries for men...does if carry dries' menswear?....hmmm...

i'm sure you know...seven and if are having sales now...

i think you would look very good in helmut lang and carpe diem...

ps-OT...i looked for the margiela bracelet while i was in london...they didn't have it...did i tell you that already...can't remember...

you know me well. it'll probably be something from one of those stores (A being the strongest candidate). barneys is a stretch, although I've been meaning to stop by JPG on Madison to see my old friend.

P.S. IF didn't have any more of those bracelets? Bummer!
P.P.S. When we were in SF, I got my wife a white thin leather Ann Dem belt that wraps around her waist 4 times - HOT!

Space are you talking about SS04 or FW2004/05. I saw some stuff i really liked from the SS04, prob all i could afford are the tees, which are expensive also.
