Denim Label : Current/Elliott
The styling of this collection is really flawless to me.. tho' being a fall collection I get a more of a summer vibe from it.. then again it is a LA based label..fall is obviously different than for someone living in say.. Denmark :p

The duo behind the label stylists Emiley Current and Meritt Elliott, style the young and pretty in Hollywood.. which accounts for the very young feel of the denim.. To me there's a bit LA Eastside (Echo Park etc - never been, but thanks to the streetstyle thread I feel I have been ) over the collection ..

Both shopbop.com and lagarconne.com have a good selection now.

I absolutely love these jeans but the price tag is just too much for me. I wonder if there will ever be a sale of some description. I need those flared jeans!

I first saw them at Barneys and am now seriously considering getting a pair.
I heard they tend to run large but does anyone know if that only applies to the boyfriend style or also to the skinny jeans?

^The skinny jeans run a size large as well, because they are supposed to be worn a little slouchy (see them on the model at lagarconne). If you want them to be "skinny," order down a size.

Thanks! So do you think if I wear a 26 in J Brand the 25 would fit me?

I tried these on and thought the denim was skimpy and very frail. they did run large though, even more than one size.

I think 25 would be the correct size.

It's suppossed to have a worn in, loved feel.. as the label is inspired by vintage jeans.. On their website they write that the denim they use is a 'stretch japanese denim' .. worn in is one thing.. but frail ?

^I don't think I would call them frail - lightweight would be a better term. They are very comfortable and don't have that stiff feeling that a lot of other jeans do, if that makes sense.

leyla - I believe NAP carries them or if not, they will soon

I've been noticing these jeans everywhere lately. It's so funny because the idea of these ripped/paint splattered jeans is so A&F 5 years ago, but something about the way they do it feels fresh. don't know why. Maybe just the styling. I agree that the price is a bit steep though they are quite cute.

Prps makes similar jeans for over $300...so I don't think the price is steep - they're actually a steal, IMO. I'm wearing my skinny slouch now, and I just thought I should point out the fact that the distressing (holes, tears, and such) is not fake - the holes are all the way through the pant and will unravel more with multiple washings. I like that (I have done it myself to other jeans before), but for people that want their pants to retain the same look over time, I just think it's a good thing to know before you buy a pair.
