Dirt Cheap Designer Scores
When it comes to the designer items I want - I hardly ever pay retail - Unless its something I obsess over.
However, I am probably the luckiest person at finding expensive items for very inexpensive - whether it be a clearance sale, thrift, consignment, gift, whatever.
Now I know what some people are thinking - that its stupid to buy something just because it is a cheap designer item - but its not like that for me. I think I'm just really lucky when it comes to shopping.
So please post photos of designer/luxury items which cost you significantly less than retail - and I'm not talking about something simply on a 20% off sale.
So as far as I know there is no thread exactly like this. The Bargain Hunting forum is more for stores/designers that are always inexpensive.
So I'll start:
Grey/silver silk, slightly metallic longsleeve shirt.
I Paid: $30
Asymetrical black silk shirt. (the top is cut to one shoulder - fit is amazing)
Yves St. Laurent (when Hedi Slimane was the designer)
Retail: ? (I assume at least a few hundred?)
I Paid: $40
Red frayed sleeveless button-down.
Retail: ? His shirts now are probably like $400
I Paid: $27

Lace detailed black cropped bolero jacket

Black distressed shearling vest
I Paid: $120
White mesh xlong scarf
I Paid: $35-45
The Dior Outlet in Woodbury Commons sells Dior Homme pieces and accessories now too. I don't pay retail either. Most of my nicer pieces are from Century 21 and outlet stores, vintage and thrift.
stopped by the Ralph Lauren outlet at Clinton Corners on our way back from RI...stocked up on... soft as baby's bum sheets, cushy towels, lots of shirts for my husband, and a belt that I wanted from the mens line...its a black o-ring. they have some serious bargains there.
This is definitely the kind of shopping I like to do...scoring designer clothes for relatively dirt cheap prices...in fact, this is the only way I shop! I can't bring myself to pay full price knowing that I can probably find it for a lot cheaper in a discount store or thrift shop. Sometimes it takes a year or two to find it again, but it makes obtaining it that much sweeter if it turns up and at a better price!
Here are some dirt cheap designer scores I've found lately:
Black Skinny Jeans (Hex / Discash)
Strapless Dress, wool
Perth Knee-High Boot:
Perforated patent ankle boot
I can go on and on and on!
