Gilt Groupe sample sale site - feedback and info

Just wondering if anyone has ever checked out / bought anything from Gilt Groupe's online sales... I've not heard of it before, but they have a one-day Note by Marchesa sale on Wednesday, unfortunately for me they only ship to the US

note by marchesa is their 'diffusion' line. You can find it on NAP. Basically cheaper Marchesa.

i am also subscribed to gilt but have never bought from them. i think i checked it out once and also realised they only ship to the US so i gave up ...

I had a look at their Rachel Roy sale but I'm not in the USA so didn't want to go through the hassle of ordering it and getting it sent to someone else to have it forwarded to me etc etc.

Everyone is saying what a great business concept this store is but I'm still not 100% sold on it yet.

The only thing I'm annoyed about is that I'm from o/s and they don't do international shipping. Gah.

And yes everything gets sold insanely quickly, I always forget to go on it when it first starts so I have yet to buy anything.

Sorry if I just left it hanging there, I was hoping they will change.

So I made a purchase on January 8th, and they charged my card once. Then I received several calls claiming that they couldn't charge my card and so they had to charge on the second time. Then, after a few days, they charged me again! I emailed them probably 5 times and left messages but no one calls me back. Until today, I still do not have any info of my stuff being shipped. Don't know what's going on at all.

i wonder if anyone else is having trouble with them...

might be that because they are new they are still kind of figuring things out and have to work out the 'bugs'...

still...that is pretty messed up alright!>!...

They have great sales IMO, but havent purchased anything from them yet. They need to have a William Rast, Rebecca Minkoff, Mike & Chris or Gryson sale. I would definately purchase something.

i bought a walter skirt from them last week and it said it's been shipped...

you pretty much have to sign in right when a sale starts (9am) to make sure all sizes/colors are there...
i got lucky with the walter sale, but i logged in yesterday for the tibi sale and all the good stuff was gone...

kimair, did you receive the skirt OK? I just ordered a Viv Tam tee using my AmEx, figured that would cover any risk...at first I almost backed out because the default choice for shipping was $15.95 but than I realized that you can check below for $4.95.
