Isabel Marant

It seems like Isabel Marant is gaining quite a following on this board. Given how difficult it is to find her clothes, especially in the U.S., I thought it might be nice to start a shopping thread on her line, sharing what we've purchased, where to find her line, opinions on pieces, etc.

Some think her Etoile line is a bit boring, but I actually really like it. My favorite jacket of all time is from her Etoile line. I'm wearing the Etoile jacket along with an IM dress in the outfit attached, one I posted before on the waywt thread.

I'm in love with these boots! Softgrey's Zara boots have a similar vibe

I bought those boots ^, (from impulse) and I'm in love. I just wish that they weren't so expensive, I feel bad wearing them out. I have put sole protectors and weather spray all over them. Creatures of comfort has a different color in the same boot for a little cheaper.

^ really nice! I sent an inquiry about the boots to Impulse, but they are already practically sold out. How are you planning on wearing them? Post pics of outfits!

Bird in Brooklyn has some isabel marant shoes, and so does Jumelle. You could try there.
APC has a very similar boot (kind of western influence) and they have paired it with bell bottomey jeans. I will be wearing my boots with an apc tunic dress, or jeans/cardigan look. They really are pretty versatile. I am still looking into finding a good wool skirt. COC had a cute Etoile one--but they have sold out of it already.

^ yes, Satine sent out a PDF. Thanks for the tip on the boots! I really want to see how the boots look with pants or jeans. I know they will be cute with skirts/dresses.

hey guys......

nice boots juliet...
they are remarkable similar to the zara ones i got...
i think my zaras seem to bee a cross between these and a chloe bootie...

thanks again guys for convincing me to keep them...
they have turned out to be a really good addition to the wardrobe...

haha...i will take that as a compliment...
but you know what's sad...?
as much as i love her stuff....
i reallly don't have much of it because i haven't been able to get my hands on much of it really...

..

i just sort of dress in the style that she does...so a lot of my stuff looks like it could be IM...vanessa bruno sometimes looks similar and i have quite a few pieces of that...
and also APC...etc...

i do have these pants...
which are the mate to the jacket that tourist is wearing in the first pic

and i managed to get hold of the same tonal plaid lightweight cotton shirt that tourist purchased this season- posted above...but mine is ivory...
but that was only thanks to the help of a friend overseas...

sometimes i have really good luck with shopping...but a lot of what i want sells out quickly because i am the most common size in everything...including shoes...
plus the few boutiques that stock the line carry very limited quantities...which is unusual for american boutiques...
i often run into a similar thing with vanessa bruno and apc as well actually...

that is why i grab things like a maniac when i actually find them.....
