Greetings Guys and Dolls,

I'm new here, so sorry if this is a repost, but I was just curious as to know what was your single most expensive purchase for the sake of fashion? Let's exclude cars, houses etc.

Just stuff in your wardrobe!

My biggest splurge: $1700 cash for a vintage crocodile bag I bought in NYC. And later felt sick about...and resold for $600 on ebay. I justified it by thinking it was an "investment" piece..Let's just say, BAD investment! Ha ha!

So, DISH on YOUR most expensive "investment" piece! Post pics if you can too!

Your pal,

candicec

I may have spent 50 (that's about $80 I guess) on jeans before...

I have a pair of Alexander Mcqueen beaded boots that were $4500 and I have a pair of Chanel shoes that were $6500 as for clothing...I ordered a YSL high necked beaded dress that was 23 and....I don't think it would be wise to say anything else

It's not the most expensive thing I've ever bought but it's definitly the most rediculously priced.......I once spent 60 bucks on a black t-shirt.

$130 for my big Doc Marten's boots.

I'll probably spend close to $300 next year when I do my really fabulous Edwardian winter coat, but that it a potential purchase, and it is the materials to make a coat, not a finished garment.

$4800...with tax like $5100 or something for my purple Gucci velvet and croc flap bag.
As for unfortunate investments...like $1200 (i think) for my LV prom dress, which I never wore again and can't even fit into anymore (too big)

I've been meaning to post a topic like this for a while, only my idea was "Most expensive item in your wardrobe". Same thing, really... thanks for doing it for me

$80ish on Rogans off ebay..
$135 on a Coach leather jacket (on sale at the outlet)
$48 on a drapy top from a Pittsburgh boutique... not really expensive and definitely worth it, but since I'm a thrift score girl I'm not even used to spending that much

Oh believe me, there will be no way to stop me from posting pictures when I make this coat. I mean to do a big Edwardian toque, too in complementing velvet.
