^ those dictionaries sound v. interesting, soft.

my favorites are the American Heritage dictionary (good etymology) and the Oxford English dictionary (same)

As for my current obsessions:
* pretty shoes, the sort that I hardly get to wear because of the constant drizzle
* cardigans
* hats
* colored gel pens

But i must say, reading this thread makes me feel less guilty about my acquisitions!

Luxurious candles, underwear and bags.
Also have a thing for girly-looking makeup, necklaces and brooches (particularly vintage or oversized or lovely looking flower pins- not the tacky bright ones).

I cannot stop buying magazines (though I am proud of how much I have cut down on this). I also cannot stop buying room fresheners (the plug-in kind). If I find a scent that I like in Bath and Body Works (i.e. the holidays scents), I feel the need to buy everyone one the store has, so I won't ever run out in case they discontinue it!

Shoes... I don't have a warm winter coat, but plenty to put on my feet. I hope I can get a coat before I spend what I have left on shoes.

Fragrances and Paul & Joe makeup. Its really a sickness lol. Well, I do notice female members of my family who are shopaholics; so I am very aware of turning into a shopping addict. Its tough undoing learned behavior for over 20 years though!

I just love niche fragrances. There's something about discovering your sense of smell that has been lying dormant and unused, and then going overboard with excitement. And the Paul & Joe is because I'm a total sucker for vintage-y prints and cute packaging. Although admittedly their lipstick is really good, is light, smells nice and doesn't have that many weird additives and chemicals. Plus, I realized that my teenaged sister in high school has more makeup than me. That's when I realized I needed to dump what little old, outdated makeup I had and start anew.

Dresses and shoes. Yarn and knitting or crochet patterns. Oh! And boxes of herbal teas.
