here's what I've bought over the past two weeks...hopefully I can remember it all.

- turqoise, lavender and baby blue woven pashmina-style scarf (very strange combination of colours, but it looks very pretty)
- floor-length a-line denim skirt (with NO slits!)
- burberry london perfume that smells very light and summery

I found a great eveningwear sale the other day...

- black satin empire-waisted, knee-length party dress with a full skirt with white lining and trim
- simple periwinkle blue halter gown with a long
full skirt and strappy back
- icy pale blue empire-waisted gown with clear glass beading and a long full skirt... it's also backless, held up by straps at the shoulder and two skinny laces at the back. it's my favourite...it's kind of like cinderella.

thrifting

- black and brown vintage doctor's handbag
- black wool short military coat that fits like a dream
- blue vintage coat cut like a renaissance spanish doublet with slashing around the top of the bodice and sleeves...it's very odd... it's from the 80's, but when I saw it, the cut make me think of alexander mcqueen, so I was drawn to it.

I, too, am always looking for a floor-length denim skirt but will not touch one with slits. I can totally relate to your happiness at finding a slitless one.

oh yes I know - this one has turned out to be perfect. I think I've worn it nearly every other day since I got it. it was really cheap, too - tjmaxx, I think...they have a lot of denim skirts in different cuts if you're willing to sift through loads of sandblasted/bleached crap.

I went shopping friday night...

- small black leather wallet from dkny
- sage green pashmina scarf
- baby blue and white horizontally striped 3/4 sleeve sweater
- dark rusty tan levi's low-rise cords that fit perfectly

whilst thrifting yesterday...

- small black patent handbag with small strap and gold lock
- large dark brown leather vintage handbag from the early 70's with a wooden clutch handle and latch - in pristine condition
- red quilted kidskin clutch that might be chanel...unless it's a fake...but fake or not, it's definitely vintage from the early 80's. it was only $2 at the thrift store, sort of stuffed into a corner, so I decided to go ahead and get it and do some further checking up on it because I don't want to carry a bag with a chanel logo if it's a forgery
- preppy yellow cable knit jumper

spent the day out thrifting.

- baby pink tight-fitting turtleneck sweater that looks very 50's and I plan to wear it with a circle skirt
- pale yellow sweater with small fluttery cap sleeves, vintage from the early 80's
- yellow vintage mod mini-dress (looks like it could have come straight out of marc jacob's last collection) with purple piping and minimal orange and purple geometric detailing. it's in mint condition - it still has the tags on it, fading and handwritten from an unheard of boutique in my city. definitely not my style - I'm not planning to wear this, but just keep it in my collection
- emerald green leather flats from the 80's
- navy blue leather vintage baguette with metal latch closure
- black velvet vintage baguette with metal latch closure that looks very 40's
- black leather vintage handbag with metal latch that looks to be inspired by the kelly bag...very cute

last weekend I went shopping for basics.

- black quilted gilet from the gap
- black short sleeved sweater from the gap
- black and white striped 3/4 sleeve shirt that falls slightly off the shoulder
- classic black and white saddle oxfords

and today I went thrifting (again hehe)

- vintage red and white herringbone full pleated skirt
- vintage navy blue circle skirt
- vintage pastel wool tartan circle skirt
- white pointy-toed stilettos with... leaf or flame motifs in turqoise, mustard and sapphire blue snakeskin. the label is rosina ferragamo schiavone, salvatore ferragamo's's sister who apparently designed shoes between 1960 and 1975.
