ok, here is my shopping record for the last 2 weeks, over the course of 4 trips:

~black rubber flip-flops from Old Navy
~black polka-dotted sleeveless dress with ruffled bottom and mock-obi from Express (that's right, it is a knockoff of Marc Jacobs a few seasons back )
~mother-of-pearl disc earring from Express
~rainbow striped cotton tunic from H&M
~flax-y/cotton tan cargo pocket skirt from H&M
~red with pink flowers kimono top from H&M
~stretch cotton white tank from H&M
~white Gucci sunglasses from Saks Outlet
~sport-inspired black with white detailing tothemax! mules from Daffy's Outlet
~pink mesh boycut panties with black stars from Hot Topic
~black fishnet weave scarf/shawl from H&M
~peacock feather earrings from Claire's Accessories (big surprise to find something good there!)

one of these shopping trips took place during a snowstorm (as my friend Tom said in the car: "I just want my epitaph to say 'Nothing Kept Him From Shopping")...another was to spontaneously celebrate my TA not showing up for my Sunday(!) class

I'm a lazy shopper, so when I find something I like (and as long as I don't go into debt for it), I buy in bulk. I once bought 5 of exactly the same tee-shirts, white crew neck, long sleeved by Petite Bateau. I'm the same with undies, I won't get too descriptive about them, but I bought 2 weeks worth in various colors — bottoms and tops — by Cosabella in one go.

The way I hoarde you'd think that I was a war baby.

Practically everything I own has been bought for one (or more) of those reasons

Yes, I'll admit, I AM A COMPULSIVE SHOPPER!!!

As long as I have the money, there's always something I want or need or just HAVE to have...I have tons of clothes that still have the pricetag on it, unread books and nicknack for the house stored away in some cupboard...
(I have a 13 year old sister who reep the benefits from this, she's the trendiest girl in school because of me )

And if there's something in particular I need, and I can't find it, I have to buy something else instead, just to make myself feel better...

Also, if I find something I really really like, I have to have it in every style and color... just in case

Now I've also started a makeover on my boyfriend's wardrobe...so much fun!

I think the last thing I bought (out of desperation!) was two pairs of shoes (last week): a pair of dark-blue boxing-style shoes (I'll probably never wear them) and a pair of olive green suede loafers (they look good by themselves, but on my feet they look really weird... )

I don't really enjoy the physical act of shopping, and I only go out to shop when I need something. When I do go on a mission to find something specific, I inevitably don't find what I'm looking for and console myself with an impulse buy. Case in point, I went shopping yesterday to find something suitable to wear for a spring wedding, instead I came home with a white Marc Jacobs clutch.

It's really cute. Not quite bright white leather, with brick stitching, silver pushlock, lined in a brick suede. I'll never find a dress to wear, but I'm happy with my little bag.

Humble balmy gore

I'm such a light-weight!

I'm showing this thread to my partner next time he hassles me for buying yet another pair of black boots (but the heels are different!)

I'm not sure, Xopher. I haven't seen the May issue of Vogue. I think the pouch I bought may have been intended as a cosmetic bag, but I plan on using it as a clutch. It's very casual-ish, there are others that are much dressier and much more "special," like the one with the grosgrain bow. The one I got is reasonably priced, comparable to the cost of a wallet, which is important because I can't really afford a $400 impulse buy at the moment. :P

I'm the same way, lately.
I bought a silk kimono-y top and sunglasses at Saks while looking for a dress to wear to a wedding.
Lately, when I'm bored at work, I surf the net, shopping. Very dangerous.
