well here in paris all the big name stores in the "triangle d'or" are open until midnight and some organize special things (like LV last year had the misshapes as DJs, and a photo-booth you could pose with funky accessories, or chloe had a photoshoot thing too. Manoush had a whole carnival kind of party going on) and most of them have cocktails and little appetizers. And a lot of models, designers and people from the industry are there so it's fun to run into them.
Am going to be in the US in September and was thinking of visiting NY during FNO. Are an members here planning to attend? It would be cool to bump into some TFSers while there.
US Vogue does extensive coverage of FNO NY, so you might check out last year's issue. I went to FNO in Dallas last year. I'm trying to remember what happened The promise of something got me there on a weeknight ...
I remember at Barney's everyone was standing around drinking like it was a (boring) cocktail party, and I was the only one there looking at the clothes ...

I'm kind of tempted to go to FNO in Milan but like everyone else has already said...tons of FAQs and infos but no one really knows what happens. It's more like a promo event for luxury boutiques, no? NYC & Paris at least seem to have models and designers events which would be reason enough for me to attend, but I can't seem to find anything spectacular about FNO in other cities.
