where are you frommm?? jeez the only decent designer stuff i find is like old old christian dior and yves st laurent and it all seems pretty iffy if you ask me
My best find ever was in San Francisco. I found an ivory pair of Jimmy Choo bridal shoes (never worn) for $75 at my fave re-sale store.
They look similar to this...

i live in nashville tennessee....surprising finds down here. i also once found a BEAUTIFUL christian dior tweed skirt, high waisted, for sixteen dollars....
the joys of incredible finds.
wow, what great shoes! i once found marc jacobs moccasins (the white ones) in a thrift shop in paris, they were only 30 euros, i think, but unfortunately they don't fit anymore (too small). i love to keep them in my collection, though.
congrats on your new find as for cleaning it, I don't know, it depends on how the clothes smell that helps me to decide whether to do more than wash it once. if it smells funny (and the garment allows), I'd wash it two or three times. but all in all it should be okay, especially if it's only a cardigan. a little soap and water really do clean better than you might think!
From my experience in thrifting and from others that when you thrift do smell the clothes and if they have a pungent/strong smell (stinky) chances are that smell isn't going to come out when you clean the piece. I hate that because I have found some nice things (dior) and had to put it back because the smell was hideous. So keep that in mind when you are shopping.

In the last month I have purchased 2 huge coach tote bags for 1.00 each. They look like the one on ebay #6738935842 one is black just like the picture and the other one is light blue and black. I didn't get the changing pads but thats okay because I will be using them as purses not diaper bags.
aaah it's very sweet you went looking for your sis too. The shoes are nice.
