I'm in Hong Kong currently and there are lots of Uniqlo stores, so I am very lucky! I've heard great things about Heat Tech from my friends, the ones studying overseas in the UK. I'm now even tempted to see if I can grab some to warm up this winter!

the only bad thing is that so many of their things are made in china...
i've decided to boycott china because i don't like how corrupt and shady their government is...
*ie- why did they just launch a battleship?..hmmmmm?.....

but this restricts my uniqlo purchases considerably...

that faux fur jacket I fell in love with is from the kids section!

I need it so bad!

.. that and a jacket from the men's section, and I'm so confused about sizing. I know their mens stuff can't run too large because every guy I know that wears their stuff is more on the petite side, and that jacket on that girl didn't look small at all, but then she was like 1.55 cm and I'm 1.75. ugh, I hate online shopping!

i think uniqlo runs pretty true to size...

someone accidentally bought me a heattech shirt for women in medium this christmas and it fit fine. (i usually wear S or XS) it wasnt that much bigger than small. the material was really stretchy.

i am wearing the medium right now as i'm typing this as the pipes in my apartment have frozen.

Almost all my Uniqlo stuff is from the men's section. I prefer the cuts from the men's collections because I have a long torso, and because the men's stuff is chicer. I'm an XS or S in women's sizing and get the XS in men's stuff (an S in sweaters because I like them a little oversized).

But I find Uniqlo super uncomplicated when it comes to their sizing, actually. Everything fits so well, and whether I size up or down, I never end up regretting it, it always somehow works and feels like the right size!

I currently badly want the sweatpants with the boa fleece lining from the men's collection (to wear at home, lol), but they were only available in large sizes last time I checked

uniqlo.com
I recently got the matching hoodie and it's the best thing ever, so fluffy and comfy and cute.

hey!- they are the sweatpants i got in Tokyo!
didn't see them in the nyc store, but i have been wearing them, even in what they are calling the "polar vortex" freezing weather we have been having...
they are so freaking warm that i don't even need another layer under them...
i tuck them into my moto boots and sometimes tuck them into thick socks...
they have been incredible and for the $$$ are an amazing investment!

yay!

^^ ah so it's more or less the same, excellent! I also have a long torso and too long arms, my only issue is shoulders when it comes to men's stuff but I'm not that narrow either so I guess it's all good!

Have you gotten stuff from the kids section? would 130 be just pushing it too far? (it's age 7-8 ).

Oh softgrey, I'm so jealous you have them. It sounds like they really are as warm and comfy as I want them to be! I want them even more now!

And MP, I have not gotten anything from the kids section, but 130 sounds like it would be uncomfortably small for an adult According to their size chart that would mean having a 24-26.5inch chest

^ I'd bee creeped out by any woman that fits into those kids sizes, tbh! Maybe the item you are looking for used to be available in adult sizes? You never know with Uniqlo.

Took me forever to find them on the website, but I eventually did! Why do the women's ones look less fluffy in the pic than the men's one? Do you think they're the same?

i do think it's a bit different now that i compare them...
it's less like shearling and more like fine soft fur...
hard to tell in the pic though...
probably because they think women don't want them to be too bulky...

i really love mine...
i like how they are loose and comfy in the waist and the seat like sweats but then get stylishly tapered in the calf like a trouser...
they are not sloppy looking at all because of this...
just casual and cool...
my house is really warm, so i can't even wear them in the house...
but they are great for outdoors!

more like the first one but in off-white! .. I actually remembered the texture like that and the shape boxier, until I found the picture and I knew this was it:
