For my business: Hat blocks (several sizes and styles). Professional steamer. Self-sealing cutting mat and rotary cutters. The wherewithal to lay in a good supply of stock fabric from the wholesaler so I could put out samples for the range of formals I have designed. Hat fabrics, including some ready-formed capes and perhaps some crinoline braid. Good quality flexi buckram.

For myself: 5 yards brown/olive tweed in a tiny plaid for a new winter coat (full length with leg-o-mutton sleeves, styled after an Edwardian duster) 1 yard co-ordinating velvet (probably dark brown) for the collar, cuffs, and pocket trim.

2 yards olive/brown/tan/black/green stripe pinwale corduroy for a pair of trousers.

5-6 yards dark, heavy denim for several pairs of jeans.

Small quantities of interesting fabrics for some new summer tops.

Acquiring any of this wish list will be a long, slow process. I should be able to get some of the business stuff after my next wedding dress commission. The stuff for myself, who knows. Right now, the business is more important than my personal fashion whims. I have plenty of perfectly good clothes.

My sketches are dreadful, because I am a lousy artist. I bung together a line drawing that shows all of the seams and the general shape I want, but I know it won't really be right until I draft a pattern and turn my ideas into a 3D object.

When I get the scanner hooked back up to my computer I might scan and post a few of my drawings, though they are pretty rough. When I have samples, I can post pictures of those, and I can take pictures of already-completed projects, though a lot of the stuff I have handy that I have made is just my own clothing.

So long as the mods don't feel I am using the boards to pimp my business or anything. That would suck.

I might show y'all some of my work this coming weekend, though. We shall see.

New item, a black cotton military style jacket by Les Hommes. I did some serious drooling on the $1k tag and walked away. I just can not justify such spending on clothes.
