I like the idea of subverting the classic shape with an interesting material. If you're a size 41, they still have them in black patent leather (on sale at a a steal: $146!) or a high-gloss leather over at MonaMoore.com.

I wanted to get these, and they're my size, but I got my patent N.D.C.s already.

Here's the new one for spring:

That dress looks like it could do a Stella McCartney if the sizing is off, Helena.

I've had my eye on this cardigan by Marcus Lupfer fo' Topman for a while but I saw it again in the Gruaniad last week, thoughts please?:

Prince, I'm not sure how you would wear that. The design elements are weirdly combined - seam openings a la Helmut mixed with Dr.Seuss sleeves, in basic neutral colors? If you have an idea, it might help us recommend it to you, but I personally would pass.

The Guardian has it with a pretty boring shirt, grey formal trousers and bright blue shoes I seem to remember. I think I'd want to do something more interesting with it. I'm not entirely sure myself now you come to mention it...

There's some other Marcus Lupfer stuff at www.topman.co.uk, Brian. In fact I think I might like some of the other stuff better than the cardie.

eighty i love the cut and shape of the jacket, but like Helena said i dont mind much this washing.... i think in a blue hue its nicer?

Prince I like the cardigan, i think it goes with a great variety of simple cut pants. But i dress more 'safe' i dont know your style

Ginger - nay on both bags, but if you must buy one...definately the black one. Lace, sorry, nay on the dress...how about something eccentric and more formal? Maybe one color?
