For a wedding - what do you think?

Also, do you think this yellow is going to look out-dated real quick? It's been popular for a while now.

I'm looking for something a bit more 'original'. I think the dress is pretty but maybe not very special?

for me, the first pair of jeans. Sorry but I really despise the color of the last pair and the second pair are alright actually. I kind of am digging that shade of middle blue.

As for the dress above....I have no problems with the cut/shape or even the color yellow. However that seems to be a shade of tangerine that has gone terribly wrong. If it was lemon-y I would say YES! though its pretty and bright for a wedding, if you want a dress color that will stand the test of time, I say nay. if you have the money of course then it's less of an issue....

Meg - thanks for the helpful comments. You're absolutely right. I like the dress because it is just so appropriate for the wedding and the colour (it is more lemony than tangeriny) looks good on me. But I don't have lots of $$ to spend. The dress isn't cheap (AUD$490) and not quite worth it I suppose. Most people I asked likes it (but I don't trust their fashion sense...) just wanted someone to say 'Nay' so thanks very much!

oh and foxie - I say YES for the first pair. In fact, I've been trying to track down a pair of April77 but they don't stock them here in Aus and I can't find them online. I think the grey is great. The 2nd one is okay, not really my style and a NO for the 3rd.

miss_j- I agree with what you said " the dress is pretty but maybe not very special" I don't care about colors going in and out of style, its better to wear whichever ones flatter you. If that one looks good on you, great

At the same time though if you don't think you'll wear it again that seems like a lot of money to spend (though I'm not sure of the exchange rate to US Dollars)

and it does seem a bit short for a wedding. Of course it would probably be longer on you than on the model?

sophie - why do you think it's not suitable for a wedding? i like that its light and colorful. i don't want something that is too 'eveningy'. do you have any suggestions?

stilettogirl - 490AUD is about 400US. Quite a lot for an up and coming Aussie designer (though getting quite popular here). Quality definitely not as good as top designers stuff. Though I'm sure it'll be snapped up pretty quickly by the Alice McCall lovers here. And you're right ... maybe a bit short. It's about an 1-2 inches longer on me but above knee.
oh it's so difficult to find a dress for a wedding!
