Guessgirl- if it's any longer than knee length, nay

MarlaLP- I don't like the braid-ish detail on the waist and the back pockets- nay

GG i absolutely adore that dress. it's fab. just wear it on a date with your bf to the movies! my only concern is that it's not an easy dress to alter (ie bringing the hem up). The only place i can tell easily is that possibly you could bring it up in the shoulders, thus raising the hem. If it's too long it won't work so if you have a great tailor/craftsman than yes, if not, then it's not best to risk it.

nay on those jeans. not crazy about the whipstitching thing going on.

i'm going to say nay on that uniq. you could imo only get one season out of it. It's a little too 50's Miami for me. Though the color would look good with your skintone.

uniq, I also find it cute but I agree it would date easily. overall nay.

diorling and uniq, do you yay the balenciaga even if its quite a bit longer? the length varies between just below the knee to lower calf length.

meg, I agree its a hard dress to take up. maybe I'll bring a picture to my tailor and see hwat she says.

GG is it possible for you to take a pic in the dress? Maybe if we see it we can tell whether the length is too much?

Nay, then, it will swallow you, I adore the dress though, couldnt you have the Balenciaga boutique alter it for you? I trust the boutique more than a tailor.

meg, unfortunatly no I wish I could see it in person before I deicde! As I look at it more though I think my tailor can move the bottom part up, shes done something similar before so I'll find out about that.

diorling, I didnt know balenciaga did that! I'll call and ask.

it's such a lovely dress i hope you can figure a way with it. I was looking at it more and i don't think you could move it up from the shoulders since it would affect the unique shape of the arm hole. Maybe from the waist or you could take off the hem and then reapply it after taking some of the length off. It really depends how it's constructed and where the seams are on it. If it's from ebay why not buy it and take it your tailor and see if (s)he can do anything and if not, relist it?
