Yay or Nay? (November 2003 - June 2009)

I've already critiqued the three gladiator sandals from Post #11,636; Naying all three of them, but chose the second if I was forced to choose a gladiator sandal. So I'll move on to the top in Post #11,638 posted by fellow Houstonian, scivolare.

The top is definitely a Yay! A little ruffle detail adds a cute touch. There are a number of ways to dress this top up. I'm sure even something simple like skinny jeans + a good pair of ballet flats would work well. A cute pair of high-heel peep-toes with any favorite style of jeans would work as well. I am a fan of ruffle designs, and despite all the stuff on the right side of the shirt, it's still quite beautiful to wear. And like Carrme stated, it's a nice change from a plain white T-shirt.

That shirt's a yay. I'd get that shirt and add it to my wardrobe right away. Probably too cold and wet to wear that anytime soon here in H-Town...

Thanks John M.! I fell for it when I first saw it in the catalogue a month or so ago, but the $178 price tag was really discouraging. It JUST went on sale today at half off, so after some hesitating (the pic of the model had me wondering if those ruffles might get annoying, and I've got alot of people to buy Christmas presents for so I wanted to be SURE), I ended up caving and buying it.

But I just got off the phone with my mom and that's exactly what she told me - it was pouring all day! I'm currently at school in Fort Worth, and the weather is even less suitable for the shirt here: we might be getting snow today or tomorrow!
