I just want to comment a little more on that Rodarte dress. I tastefully said that the look of the dress is like a tall cake. The balance of pink and white is like a tall vanilla cake with strawberry icing. Something I've never really taken note of was just the sheer details of the Rodarte dress. A cute pair of strappy sandals would work as well as a cute pair of peep-toe slingbacks. Some espadrilles would also work. I'd go with girly, cute, and comfortable sandals and pumps. There was that look of "girly dresses with tough shoes." I wouldn't try that with this dress. Why ruin such a balance? I'm not sure if you'd try wearing a motorcycle jacket for a little edge. You COULD try a nice cropped jacket or bolero.

That's a yay-worthy dress.

Belowen.. haha just read your comment...I won't even open it just forward it on

loverunway... it definitely wasn't the first one from the collection I wanted. Initially I wanted one of the red and white dresses but it was sold before I made up my mind. Also, I plan on wearing it to my university formal.

John M, thanks for the suggestions! I have a pair of white strappy sandals that I as planning on trying with the dress.

And thanks everyone for the great input!

the lace part looks a bit like an apron on the ecru one.. it would work if you plan on wearing it with several layers ontop ( think SusieBubbles).. otherwise I would go with the black.. It bothers me that the lace doesn't go all the way around.. it would look better IMO if it did.. if the lack of lace on the backside doesn't bother you - Yay

silvi- nay to neither. Just because it's a designer doesn't make it good.

btw I don't mean that horribly. I get sucked in by designer collabs but as someone pointed out to me just because they're designer doesn't mean that they're nice and I agree in this case.
