They've been around for a while now, but I still don't get how these BB/CC/DD creams improve on my wonderful SPF 50 and favorite foundations...

...for me, I couldn't care less about foundation fulfilling other properties, when finding one that matches my skin, looks fantastic and behaves very well is already a tall order. I can only get my foundations in certain countries, and even then I blend them myself afterwards

For me, the most important issue is spf. Right color is of course very important but if I would find it other make up, I could switch but day cream with spf is more difficult. I have tried two cream during this spring time and it seems I'm gonna use bb cream also this summer, normal spf day cream didn't work for me. I have tried to find day cream or sun screen because I have been little worried how well bb cream would protect, I use it very little after all but it was enough last summer and I'm not gonna spend much on beach.

To me they are just foundations, I am always searching for the best one. I don`t have so much to cover thus the supposed lighter texture of BBs/CCs made me interested in the beginning. I don`t believe one product to fullfill all my skin`s needs perfectly and I love cosmetics so much that I will always use multiple products even if they manage to invent one perfect product for all someday. Which will never happen I believe, they got mediocre in all qualities at their best.

^I agree with you. Like they say you dont need moisturizer when wearing bb cream which i dont believe at all. I dont think they moisturize at all. Same with tinted moisturizers..

I also must agree, but the thing that makes me like BB creams is the high SPF, like more than 20 (currently using one with SPF 50)- I've a very fair skin and in my case is an absolute must even when the sun is not shining. But still, I always use moisturizer underneath my BB cream.
It also depends on which brand you are using, I've noticed that my skin is slightly brightened after using Skin79 for about 6 months.
But tbh, in my opinion, CC creams are just another version of BB creams, you know, they must generate the new hype after BB creams became a staple on the market.
