Beauty Products We Regret Buying
we all sometimes expect something when we buy certain products then other than be happy with a new thing it could happen that: our skin bad reacts or they don't work or look as the same as in the ads... or we thought our color skin will go right with that...
Sometimes is not the product itself but that is not what we wanted or doesnt match with us...

situation: all shops closed and i forgot my survival kit... so i got into those all cheap shops... and got some base there... never again...that was like a mess of a thing to put at any skin... it was cheap but not worth it...
i felt like in Halloween and painting my face in funny colors or so

Well i gotta said i got one base as soft as soft from Channel once that was like any difference use it or not... bad choice... i used it like some daylotion with a transparent color at least left the skin softy

What a good thread idea!

I regret buying...
All of my body shop facial skincare products. They're terrible! I love their body lotions though. (It is called The BODY Shop for a reason )
Giorgio Armani's Manta Ray Duo Eyeshadow #1 - the eyeshadow isn't very pigmented at all, and the lighter greyish/purple shade makes me look like I've been punched in the eye. It looked a lot different under the light at the makeup counter though.
Products from drugstores in general (an exception to brands like Vichy and Shiseido). They never work well with my skin...

I think it was a quick last minute purchase, but my mother once got me a CVS acne treatment cream (instead of the usual one) which completely dried out my skin. I had to go to my Grandparent's wedding anniversary with dry flaky skin. I have oily skin by the way. I've also used a Neutrogena cleanser which was also drying. I can't stand any product I ever used that I couldn't get on my finger without it drying out that skin too.

Clinique 3-step skincare system. I was 15 or 16 and really wanted to start using 'nice' skincare from the department stores.
I knew nothing about what to use on my skin, or that there were different 'skin types' so I had saved some money from doing chores at a friend's house for her mother and just bought the soap, the clarifying lotion and the TERRIBLE DDML (dramatically different moisturizing lotion which is almost 50% mineral oil)

I didnt have skin problems to begin with, just normal skin with the occasional teenage hormonal breakout, and it was so long ago that I dont remember anything really terrifying happening to my face except that I once used the clarifying lotion AFTER i had shaved (I grew facial hair early ) and my face burned for almost an hour after....I soon learned that Clinique was the worst stuff you could put on your skin and switched to Shiseido's Pureness line.

When you're a teenager and there's SO many new things to try, and you are young and unknowledgeable about what skincare is right for you, it's easy to just plop down money and listen to the promises from SA's, etc...but dont give up! I have found by trial and error what works for me, and I try to reason with myself now, by asking myself, "Do I NEED this? Or just WANT it?"

When I was about 15, I got a bad outbreak of spots and one of my schoolfriends suggested I try Clearasil. It might of worked for her, but the result on me was awful. The spots got worse and the rest of my face turned bright red and peeled. Never used it again!

It's looking back...the worst mistake I ever made, but we learn from our mistakes and I realized I cant use cheap products like Clinique.

But if you can,

i-m very happy you liked this idea im very fan of the parfums bad choice one hahah... cause we all got that but also happens with other products and the results can be like OMG
ChloeFrancoise like loonaka and others...we must have a very sensitive skin... glad im not the only one
Once i got one cream for occasional acne and it burned my skin literally... it was painful ouch

my mother got allergies to many brains of eye liners...until she found out one that was ok and dont make her eyes completely suffering from allergy... but while searching she gotta made a lot of research... expensive ones, cheap ones, medium ones... its hard when you dont know exactly what is the component that make you bad react your skin when for the rest its just fine...

I tried Clinique's All About Eyes once. Had to go to the doctor because of a severe allergic reaction. Some people use Clinique to clean their bath tubs and remove nail polish - no kidding!
