My Lips
Hey I've been having trouble with my lips. Sometimes they dry crazy so i hydrate by drinking plenty of water and chapstick/lipbalm. I noticed that the edges of my lips have been getting black and looks like blochy lip linder. does anyone know a cure? thanks!

Get a baby toothbrush, or a really soft one in any case, and scrub your lips, then moisturise.

Give yoghurt first, natural yoghurt. Put like a mask. Then wash it and try very rich lip balm. I like sisley nutritive lip balm. I used at night.

i'm on accutane and my lips are crazy peely especially the corners. I think the other ladies are right you must exfoliate. I use a terry cloth wash rag in really hot water- rub rub rub- and then apply a thick layer of carmex. I've tried every variation of lip balm but the salicylic acid in carmex exfoliates to prevent the peeling from even starting. This is the only think that works for me. good luck amiga.

Accutane is a kind of vitamin A. vitamin A toxicity can cause extremely dry lip. I used to take fish liver oil which is rich in vitamin A excessivly and i'm having very dry lip now. it keeps peeling and forming another layer again. now i'm taking vitamin E (brand: amway )
and my lips are susprisingly getting better and better. i researched and found out that vitamin E can balance the vitamin A level in the body.

Actually i take vitamin e for my oily T Zone. that vitamin E is in Succinate form.
Vitamin e succinate can control Very powerful kind of male hormone called DHT, which is the one that contoll the oil glands on the skin and cause to excret more oil during puberty.

but now it's doing more wonder on my lip rather than my skin.

Best Lip Conditioners (any recommendations?)
I've been trying to find a really good and cheap lip conditioner. I've tried Blistex, vaseline, and carmax and all those give me allergic reactions I get these little bumps on my lips and it makes my lips extra dry. It seems that they all have the same ingredients like lanolin and petrolium which I think those could be the factors as to why i have an reaction to them.

The only chapstick that worked great on me was MAC's lip conditioner. I dont know their ingredients in them (if any of you know can you please tell me?) Im curious as to whats in it and whats not in it that is not giving me any allergic reaction to it. But the downside to it is that its a little to expensive and it runs out quickly for me.

Any suggestions?

Badger lip balm is great. Perhaps try a shea butter based one, like from L'Occitane.

The best I've tried is Prada, however. It's expensive, but lasts a long time. You get 8 mini tubes that last months and months.

Savex! It is AMAZING! But if you are allergic to blistex and carmex it may not be good for you.
