I tried the red food stain since Thursday and it works wonderfully. I thought it would come out but it didnt unless I wash my face. In fact, even when I am cleaning off my face with a dry cloth due to having oily skin, the stain was still there. Also, I put it on my lips and it stayed on all day. It made me look more awake and fresh.

I put it on my check and leave it on for 10 seconds and then rub it off so that it is a very light color instead of dark. It doesnt look like I have make up on. Its more like it is my natural cheek color like how u see babies cheeks look. Also, I leave it on my lips for 10 seconds too as well and rub it off, afterward I put lipbalm on.

I really like it and its really cheap $1.75. I was scared to use it because I thought it may not be safe. I am still not sure if it is. I havent had any bad reaction so far. If anyone knows from experience or heard that it isnt safe to do that pls let me know. But so far, I think I will keep doing that.

Yes, I am talking about the color that you use in food.

It doesnt have any smell so ur face doesnt smell when u put it on. Also keep in mind not to leave it on for more then 10 seconds or you wont get the result you want such as the color would be too dark, and it would be too hard to get it off unless u want to wash ur face and start all over again.

I still use it just when I feel like it or dont have time to put on make up. So if I need to get someplace fast and dont have time to put on make up, I use that and Im out the door. Its really not that hard to use. Also just make sure u dont get any stain in the washroom cause it can make it hard to come off the wall or counter.

Hope this helps

I just bought Vincent Longo's Lip & Cheek Gel Stain and this is definitely now a holy grail!! I bought it in the Cupid's Breath color. I have medium Asian skin tone and this is PERFECT. A light swipe just adds a natural reddish brown pigment to my lips or I can layer it for bright red lips without the dramatic glossiness or opacity of lipstick.

Korres Wild Rose lip butter is my newest favorite. It´s a great colour, leaves a pinkish stain and moisturizes your lip like nothing I ever tried before.

I have found a great lip stain-bourjois Rouge Hi-Tech. It comes in 6 shades, so you should be able to find one that's perfect for you. You can make it look natural, or build it up more at night time. The only thing wrong with it is the packaging is a little awkward- but since you don't need to carry it with you to re-apply every 5 minutes, it doesn't bother me!

I've been a good girl and not bought nor worn make-up for a few months but wow YSL has gotten me hooked on lip stains and make-up again

blame it on the gorgeoulsy rouged customer at work the other day; when i inquired she pulled this out of her purse:

YSL ROUGE PUR COUTURE Vernis À Lèvres Glossy Stain. as usual the name is a mouthful but this stuff lives up to it's name and hype:

source: ana.rs

YSL Glossy Stain Swatches (L to R):
no. 3 Brun Cachemire
no. 7 Corail Aquatique
no. 8 Orange de Chine
no. 10 Rouge Philtre
no. 13 Rose Tempura
no. 15 Rose Vinyl
no. 16 Poupre

source: product-girl.com

in most of the onlines swatches and photos the n. 10 Rouge Philtre looks quite orangey-red:

however on me it looks deeper and almost violety dark fuschia. granted i did shellac it on to see the true color/undertones:

It wears very well altho as with most stains smooth lips prior to application is a must for even application. But honestly i love the color so much i don't care if it lasts longer than the usual lippie. both girls and guys have asked me what lipstick i'm wearing.

^ That looks gorgeous on you. Violet-plummy lips are on trend this Autumn. (; I actually picked up the YSL glossy stain in #5 Rouge Vintage a few days ago and I absolutely love it. The staying power is the best of any stain I've tried. It lasted through a FULL meal and was still pigmented and had a pretty sheen to it. #5 is a wearable deep mauve-pink that really brightens the complexion when applied full-on. You can also blend in a small amount with your finger and get an incredibly natural, flushed pout. I am so tempted to get more... but they are $32 a pop so... maybe next month, haha.

juneseventh, wish i could take credit for those gorgeous lips/ photos yes i feel the same way. i feel a x-mas/b-day wish coming on.

here's me still semi-religiously wearing the YSL Glossy Stain in #10 Rouge Philtre; oddly enough I still can't seem to find swatches, photos online which reflects the color the same way as on my lips pics taken on my i-phone so not the best quality but still more accurate than the other higher quality pics i've seen, color-wise. go figure. i'm used to wearing deeper, more noticeable lipcolors so this was right up my alley but for those looking for a 'wearable' red lipcolor this would be a good start! this is one of those versatile, layer for more intensity shades; yes, i say this even though i find it so annoying and like duh, when i read this in reviews but in this case it can go on quite sheer to bam depending. kinda obsessed, can u tell
