It's not that bad, and it's definitly worth it. I second Tend Skin also.

What is hard wax exactly? Is it the one that the wax itself dries, and you pull it off instead of using the cloth? Because I've had that one once, and it was perfect! Very smooth and no bumps! But then recently I started going to a different place, and they use the cloth strip kind and it sucked. More painful, and I'm all bumpy! Almost like pimples! Ach! Anyone know how to get rid of them? And quick!

What do you guys do between two appointments?? Isn't it gross that all the hair is growing back? Does it have to be 2mm (sorry to go into details )?

To ease the pain of waxing - Do NOT get a bikini wax right before (pms) or during the first few days of your period. Your skin is way more sensitive during that time.
Also, avoid coffee or other caffeinated beverages 24 hours before your appointment.

Oh my God .. bloody amazing! .. some sections hurt a bit .. but because my 'waxer' was so friendly and very talkative, it took my mind off it

Oh and yes, it was the hard wax stuff you lot are talking about

Going back in about 5 weeks.

^ WOW! My hats off to you...

Well- an update-
I went in yesterday to get my brazilain done, little did I know that the lady that I signed up for doesnt do them... and very snooty when she informed me.

So I just took the regular bikini wax...
WOW!
I do not reccomend it to *anyone* who has very little pain tolerance like me.
I was moving, sweating, flinching... I couldnt stand it!
And then- when she was done, she took the liberty of scolding me that I shouldnt have trimmed so short (how was I suppose to know being a complete virgin to this?!) and took her little metal tweezers.... and.....

She reccomended me laser hair removal- tho expensive its much more worth it than coming back every month or whatever and believes that I am the perfect candidate for that treatment...

so Im savin' up! , because I do not think I will ever do that again.

^ erk

I soo want laser hair removal!!! Just imagine how low maintenance everything would be, no doing your legs anymore either, I'm hopefully gunna get that done when I've got the money, if you've got dark hair and white skin then it works best i've been told.

Sorry you had such a BAD experience! I live in Los Angeles, and I guess everyone here does Brazilian waxes. Estheticians (sp?) act like its nothing, as thats all most of them do!

Skin Care after brazilian-HELP!!!
Okay, I had a brazilian yesterday. I thought this left something between my legs. I was wrong. Anyway, I just have a little strip left on the mound. (sorry to be graphic) Anyway, i dont have bumps, but its very sore and starting to itch. It a very weird sensation. Can anyone recommend something to put on it? Not tend skin though, too harsh, and thats more for bumpies. I need something soothing, whats safe?

TendSkin will save you. I know you think it's too harsh, but it really will help.

^I'd still go for Aloe Vera. 100 % natural, it calms the skin and helps it heal faster. You can use it straight from the plant.
