i cannot tolerate just having cereal or fruit for breakfast - i'm gnawing on my arm within an hour after that!

i love dinner for breakfast - ie. my dinner from the night before - or pre-made dinner. i'll have curry! i'll have pasta + salad!

During the summer i had a fixation on: super-sweet grape tomatoes + hummus that had olives in it + a salad.

For something light - i adore ceviche for breakfast with lightly toasted rye flatbread.

if you have access to a Persian grocers - the most amazing, healthy, filling breakfast is:

barbari bread (a really long soft white wheat flatbread with white sesame seeds on top)
+
macedonian feta cheese (with water changed to fresh water)
+
radishes + mint
or coriander/cilantro + radishes
or coriander/cilantro + tomatoes...

i like to split the barbari - pop it in a toaster oven with the macedonian feta + tomato + oregano + basil + black pepper ... and drizzle with extra-virgin olive oil.

mmmmmmm

What interesting breakfasts!

I don't have time to eat much in the morning, and I also don't feel very in the mood to eat at 7 am. I usually have light yogurt because I can eat it very quickly and it keeps me from feeling hungry before lunch.

I like other breakfast foods, but not for breakfast. Some things are too rich for the morning. Scrambled eggs cooked with cheddar cheese, crepes with strawberries and melted chocolate (erm, more of a dessert, but someone else mentioned crepes for breakfast), or best yet, my stepmother's home made popovers! Mmmm. I also love oatmeal with honey (not the instant kind). Ooooh, and chocolate croissants!

When I was little, I hated any and all breakfast foods. I ate soup or leftovers for breakfast almost every day. At some point I drank these foul Carnation Instant Breakfasts because I didn't like breakfast foods but my parents wouldn't let me skip the meal altogether. Yes, I was odd.

SALTY:

Toast with fresh slices of meat (I love salami) and cheese (Mozarella, Parmessan) thinly sliced tomatoes

You bake it in the oven (open faced)

Fresh fruits on the side (I like melons and strawberries)

Green tea to drink

SWEET:
Croissants filled with chocolate or vanilla cream. Yogurt with granola and fresh berries.

Cafe au lait to drink.

Mmmmm...

ideas
here are some cereal ideas that are good:
rice krispies; frosted mini wheats; special k; raisin bran.
{i prefer these as a late night snack after midnight}

or/ then you got the traditional ny bagel: sesame- plain- cinnamon raisin-
{i prefer these as my tea-time snack with tea around 5 pm or so...}

tea. juice. < skip the coffee, it messes with your chemicals.

[if forced to eat eggs : 2 scambled eggs on a roll; or 2 fried eggs. maybe french fries; toast;]

I gave up that egg breakfast a few years ago.

{actually I just wake up late & start with lunch- all vegetables usually. with tea. }
starting the day with a vegetable platter & tea at lunch is SO civilized & SO happy ))))
