i havent used any dior or chanel face products so i dont have first hand experience, but arent all foundations bad for your skin in some way as it can clog pores and doesnt allow you face to breathe. Thats why you should have at least one day a week that you dont wear any make up so your skin can recover and breathe

In what way were they supposed to be bad for your skin, breakouts and such? I use foundation ( right now one by YSL) almost daily and I´ve never had a bad reaction from it.

I have Chanel and I know what she means. Ok so they have so many perservatives and stuff in it that it makes your skin breakout. I hate my chanel precision moisturizer, but the combo of me being broke and dry skinned, well I don't have a choice.

There are so many other options. You could put avacado or raw honey on your skin as a mask to moisturise. Or even just using a tiny bit of an extra virgin cold pressed oil as a moisturizer would be fine. You don't have to spend alot of money to have good skin products.

I tried Chanel one time and it was terrible for my face. By the end of the day I developed tiny red bumps all over my forehead.
I don't really know why but I have friends who like Chanels skincare products.

Personally I think those are overrated.

Chanel skincare is so overrated, they have no certified dr. in the laboratories or anything similar to back up the effectivity of their products...

As for Dior, we have Dr. Sadick, a doctor that won a Nobel Prize of Science for inventing Aquaporins, an ingredient used in all Dior skincare.

Now you compare, what do you want on your face, a Nobel Prize winner or Karl Lagerfeld's idea??

anastazja - I'm quite interested as I highly believe in German research and studies - particularly anything that has to do with health, beauty and medicine and technology ---- by the way do you know if there's an online site where I can get elmex gelee? I ran out of mine -- you can pm me on the info if you prefer. Thanks.

I agree with the idea that foundation (oil-free or not) clogs pores. I haven't used any in about a month, and no breakouts, whereas when used daily, my face was pretty bad. I've tried all, chanel, ysl, estee lauder, clinique even revlon and all gave me the same reaction.

I use the Chanel Hydramax moisture creme which agrees with my face so far... if it's not that then I'm using E45 or stuff by the Sanctuary.

I have been using Chanel skin care for a few weeks now, and it really seems to agree with my problem skin... touch wood, have had no breakouts since I started using it, unlike when I tried the Clinique range - that was really awful for me.

I use the Chanel foundation as well, as again it seems to agree with me better than anything else I have tried.

Dior skincare has proven results, but a lot of people find it too "Active" for their skin. Same with other Australian comapnies like Ultraceuticals- the potent mix of ingredients can cause breakouts. For most skin types, it's best to use "gentle" products.

My mother has very sensitive skin, most of the creams her skin cannot handle. She used Chanel precision anti-wrinkle eye cream for her entire face and she pretty much liked it. I also used it every day and had no problem. ^^

About foundations, i would never use any.
