Sorry but what is highlighting powder. Rouge or eyeshadow? It looks interesting.

I wonder if anyone has managed to get hold of that limited edition Lumieres Byzantines compact (article from US Vogue scanned by blushingnoir.blogspot.com):

A review of a Coco Shine. Testing them out, I also got the feeling that I would use up these lipsticks faster than a chapstick, because of the consistency of the product (temptalia.com):
Quote:
Chanel Monte Carlo Rouge Coco Shine ($32.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a semi-sheer, pinked red with subtle pink shimmer. The Rouge Coco formula is designed to be a lightweight lipstick with high shine and a moisturizing base. Based on the description of the color range, it is expected to be sheerer rather than opaque. (If you’re looking for something more opaque, Rouge Allures will be more up your alley.)
It’s a lightweight, nearly scent-free (I couldn’t distinguish what it was, but it was very faint), and has an emollient base. It applies evenly and smoothly, because it has that balm-like quality. Unfortunately, it only lasts two to three hours on me, but I would say it is on the moisturizing side, though not as moisturizing as my favorite lip balms.
I do wish these were the same size as other lipsticks in Chanel’s line (like 0.12 oz.), because of the emollient base, it’s easy to over-apply the product–and the need for reapplication being every couple of hours means you’ll go through a tube much faster than other lipsticks in Chanel’s range.
Monte Carlo is much more in line with what I expected based on Chanel's description - soft but noticeable color with translucence and shine. The color is soft and natural but still visible enough that it enhances the natural lip color across skin tones.

i have a rouge coco shine in monte carlo and i love it, except i do need to reapply it every 2 hours or so :/ definitely won't be buying another one..
Well the Rouge Coco Shine is practically a tinted lip balm so they're not supposed to last long. If you want something long-lasting then I guess you'd have to buy a more pigmented and more matte lipstick, but that's no fun is it

Breakdown of the look from the Cruise show in Antibes, I haven't seen any closeups but the look is exactly my kind of makeup, so fresh, natural and pretty.
Mentioned is the new foundation - I heard on Makeup Alley there will be 18 shades in this formula, hopefully a pale one so I can finally see what all the fuss is about!

If the makeup at today’s Chanel cruise show in Antibes looked particularly understated for a Karl Lagerfeld event staged on the Riviera, that was intentional. “The focus is on the easiness of the look,” Chanel creative director of makeup Peter Philips said of the fresh-faced beauty he sent down the runway in the South of France, which focused on “great skin, a touch of shadow on the eyes, and a hint of blush on the cheeks.” To create a flawless base on perennial Lagerfeld favorites like Stella Tennant and Kristin McMenamy—the latter of whom sported a tiny silver nose ring and a heavier eye to distinguish herself from the gaggle of new recruits on the catwalk—Philips turned to Chanel’s new-for-Fall Perfection Lumière foundation, the follow-up to Spring’s popular Vitalumière Aqua. (For the record, we wear and love Vitalumière Aqua. It is literally like a second skin—the kind that is way better than your first.) Cheeks were given a little boost with a dusting of Chanel’s Joues Contraste blush in Espiègle, a peachy pink, and eyes were lined in Stylo Yeaux waterproof eye liner in Ébène, a dark asphalt, before lids were swept with shimmering shades from the brand’s Quadra eye shadow in Prelude—”It’s literally a palette of shadow shades,” Philips noted. Lips and—in a rare turn of events—nails too were left nude, while lashes were given depth and volume with a few strokes of Chanel Inimitable waterproof Mascara in Noir. “Always curl your lashes—and your curl will last longer if you use waterproof mascara,” Philips advises. Words from the wise to the members of the style and celebrity sets who are making for Cannes this week.
