A Spring collection lipstick (temptalia.com):

Quote:
Chanel Spring 2011: Jersey Rose

Chanel Jersey Rose Rouge Coco Lipstick ($30.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a light-medium yellow-based rosy pink with a touch of peach that keeps it warm and light. It has very faint pink micro-shimmer. There is a distinct rosiness to it, but it’s not as pink as most rosy shades are, which is nice, and this is a lovely color for spring–light, airy, and feminine. It is a new shade from the the Spring collection, which is online now and seems to be coming out in stores rapidly, too.

It actually seems like a warmer version of Chanel Magnolia, which was cooler pink and nearly lilac on me. Similarly, it’s a little warmer (almost peachier) than Rose Dentelle (from fall). It is a little lighter than Lancome Voile de Rose; touch darker than Shiseido PK224.

FINAL THOUGHTS: It’s a very fitting shade for spring, because it’s light but still deposits plenty of color, and it’s not so light that it washes you out.

Another pink (same source):

Quote:
Chanel Spring 2011: Peregrina

Chanel Peregrina Rouge Coco Lipstick ($30.00 for 0.12 oz.) is semi-sheer, lightened peach with a touch of pink to keep it muted and not orange. It has faint pale peach/white micro-shimmer and a soft, reflective shine. It is a new shade from the the Spring collection, which is online now and seems to be coming out in stores rapidly, too.

It is pinker and less frosty than Ruban Rose. It is brighter and packed with more color than Stunning. The closest Rouge Coco shade would be Chintz. which is a touch more muted. Smashbox Splendid is incredibly similar with no real discernible difference in color.

FINAL THOUGHTS: For spring, it’s a shade one would expect to see. It should be flattering on a wide range of skin tones, because it’s not too warm of a peach, and the semi-sheer color makes it blend with the natural lip color, too.

A peachy blusher (same source):

Quote:
Chanel Spring 2011: Espiegle

Chanel Espiegle Joues Contraste Powder Blush ($42.00 for 0.21 oz.) is a softened peach-orange with a faint champagne sheen. The texture is soft, silky smooth, and it is impossible to overdo; while the color be layered for a truer-to-pan look, it starts off subtle and sheer. Accordingly, if you do get more color than you’d like, it is easy to blend out. It is a new and permanent shade (according to Chanel’s website) from the the Spring collection, which is online now and seems to be coming out in stores rapidly, too.

Espiegle is a slightly muted version of MAC Utterly Game, but the two are definitely sisters. Even texturally, they are surprisingly similar, as they both have that finely milled, slightly powder (but not in a bad way!) feeling. I would say Utterly Game has more of a matte finish, though, and it can be built up to a more intense orange shade. When worn sheer, it also compares to NARS Sex Appeal–a touch more orange.

FINAL THOUGHTS: This is a shade that will suit warmer skin tones best, but those with slightly cool undertones should be able to work this when paired with cooler shades on the lips or eyes.

And a look at the quad (same source):

Quote:
Chanel Spring 2011: Chanel Regard Perle Eyeshadow Quad

Chanel Regard Perle Eyeshadow Quad ($56.00 for 0.24 oz.) is a new and permanent (at least from what Chanel’s website says) quad from the the Spring collection, which is online now and seems to be coming out in stores rapidly, too.

It consists of a muted, dark forest green with almost pink-peach shimmer; pale pinked peach with a satin sheen; gilded warmed-up beige champagne with a frost sheen; and a pale white gold with soft yellow gold micro-shimmer. The shades match the nail polishes from this collection, actually, which is kind of fun. The quad doesn’t seem really warm, but it doesn’t quite seem cool-toned, either; I’m hesitant to weigh in and say it’s neutral, though. Perhaps, the green shade is rather cool, and the peach shade is nearly neutral, while the other two shades lean slightly warm.

The texture is fabulous–this is definitely one of the better Chanel quads (I don’t always love ‘em). All four shades were nicely pigmented whether used wet or dry; in fact, you can barely tell the difference between them for a couple of them! These are smooth, almost creamy, and very easy to blend.

FINAL THOUGHTS: I think if the shade variation appeals to your personal tastes, you won’t be disappointed. It’s of superb quality, and the shades themselves are easy to work with and the greenish shade is gorgeous.

ohhh, I really want soleil tan de chanel, but it's so big, I really want something that I can fit in my makeup bag. BUT, after watching one of pixiwoos videos I found out that there is a mini version of it, but I can't find in anywhere!

I don't have nars laguna but I have The Balm's bahama mama bronzer , which is VERY similar to laguna. I don't really use it all over my face as it can look a bit ashy, but it's an excellent contour shade for my skintone (I'm about nc37-nc40 in MAC foundations).

And the eyeshadow set (temptalia.com):

Quote:
Chanel Spring 2011: Ombres Perlees

Chanel Ombres Perlees de Chanel Eyeshadow Palette ($65.00 for 0.17 oz.) is a new and limited edition eyeshadow palette from Chanel’s spring collection that features five shades. It contains: a pearled, metallic barely gold-tinged white; metallic pinked bronze withc hampagne sheen; dirty mauve gray; darkened, charcoal foreest green with metallic sheen; and dirty charcoal navy blue with sheen. All five were really pigmented except the purple shade, which was noticeably sheerer. The finishes on these is rather metallic, with some being true metallics and others being a cross between frost and metallic.

Initially, I likened the texture of these shades to Stila’s Jewel Eyeshadow Palette or Urban Decay’s Stardusts — but not quite. Those two have a wetter, glittery texture, while these as drier but smoother and are about shimmer, micro-shimmer, sheen, but not so much about glitter. They’re similar but different enough that I wouldn’t say they are the same.

These are creamy, buttery shadows; they feel almost like a cream-to-powder eyeshadow, but they’re powder. The texture is really lovely, and if you have the chance to, get a feel (though I have no idea how well these hold up as testers!). Again, all of the shades except the purple one were pigmented; the swatches are shown with just a single pass of color–there’s no layering required–and they’re incredibly easy to blend out, because they apply so smoothly. I liked using the 239 or the 242.

I am disappointed in the amount of product, though, because the average eyeshadow quad contains 0.24 oz. of product, which retails for $56, and while this one is $65, you’re getting only 0.17 oz. I don’t, however, think this will prevent it from being one of the more sought after items from the spring collection, and I can certainly see why it has been flying off the shelves before it’s even officially hit counters.

FINAL THOUGHTS: The texture is phenomenal and something one has to try out in person to really understand, but I’m not sure this color scheme is as workable as I’d like to see in a palette. It runs cooler, with even the coppery shade seemingly cool, so it will work best on cooler skin tones. I think because the shades are darker but cool, warmer skin tones can still pair them with warmer shades for an easy look.

I got the ombre d'eau in "splash" for christmas. it's really amazing. I'm a bit lazy with makeup, so it's perfect for me because it looks great and well blended with no effort! The color is really nice, a sort of taupe bronze...

Another day, another lipstick (temptalia.com):

Quote:
Chanel Spring 2011: Flamboyante

Chanel Flamboyante (84) Rouge Allure Lipstick ($30.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a coral-tinged muted pinky-red with subtle white micro-shimmer and a slightly glossy finish. It’s nearly opaque, and it doesn’t require a lot of layering to achieve rich color. It is slightly darker and more opaque than MAC Viva Glam Cyndi. Oddly enough, it swatches and looks more pink-red in the tube, but it seems to pull a touch coral when I wear it.

Rouge Allures have a slight rose scent, but I’ve found that the scent is usually subtle though occasionally a tube will have a more concentrated rose scent. (I’m not personally bothered by the scent, but those with more sensitive noses may want to check it out in person.) I get between four to six hours of wear, as Rouge Allures tend to wear longer than average on me.

FINAL THOUGHTS: It is a pretty shade of coral-red with a little pinkness to it that will flatter both cool and warmer skin tones, because it doesn’t pull too orange. With a more hydrating formula, this will also work better on those with drier lips, too.

I just got the Mat Lumiere powder since I was using a sample. I don't like to wear a lot a make up so this powder was good and before I was using a Shiseido one but I hardly used it since I'm not a really powder person until now.
Plus the sample was a 40 stable which seemed fine on me,(I have asian skin tone)so I didn't test out any other colour and I was at the counter for 2 secs, hmmm might be problem if I did get the wrong colour. Does anyone have any opinions about this powder?
