E.L.F. Cosmetics - anyone tried?

Okay so the same guy that makes that fancy skin enhancing water or whatever... makes some really cheap cosmetics..

Pretty much everything is a dollar and since I'm pretty hard up for cash.. do you think this would be a good alternative?

I read about this company for the first time a few months ago. They say their line's available at Target, but none of the Targets I have been to carries it yet... because I've checked.

I'm curious if these cosmetics are any good, too, because wowsa, $1 is extremely affordable for makeup.

i got a big box of there stuff...pretty good so far...at least their lip glosses and blush

There nail polish remover is super effective..I'll try some more soon

The customer complaints here are scary, as regards online orders. I bought an eyeliner and shadow palette from the drugstore, but I haven't touched them yet. Quality control for the packaging could be higher.

ordering online from them is such a pain. a few select lipglosses are fine but the rest is crap, you really get what you pay for. i also tried the mascara, blush stick, compact powder thingy, blot tissues, weird orangey lip balm (i read it was like an orange creamsicle, it isnt.), and loads of other useless crap. also when things arent in stock they sent a little slip with your order saying 'haha you suck'. i went a little overboard with the last one.

the ONLY thing i do like from them is the eyeshadow palettes. for anyone who likes to switch up colors or press their own pigments, it's an awesome compact with a big mirror.

I know most of us are picky about our make-up, but lip

I thought their entire ploy involved charging $1 for everything? Check this old thread; the prices haven't changed. Their eyeshadows are nice, especially the Nouveau Neutrals quad, which contains a lovely light mint green that nearly appears white...

The ELF/Nordstrom thing is just a myth, no truth to it at all. ELF products have been $1 forever.
