Estee Lauder Fall 2011 - The Pure Color Modern Mercury Collection (makeup4all.com):
Quote:
The star product is the Pure Color Illuminating Powder Gelée.

”A new “tribrid” system of liquid, powder and gel revolutionizes makeup application and wear. This first-of-a-kind “multi-powder” formula creates a theatrical blur of shimmer on the skin when applied dry and a fierce flush of color when applied wet. The unique suspension of golden pigments and pearls float on top of the skin, resulting in a truly unique sensorial experience for skin. The futuristic powder is flexible and uses a luminosity boosting complex that makes the complexion appear perfectly smooth, sexy and glowing with a polished finish.”

Any experiences with the Double Wear Foundation? I have oily skin and a little bit of acne- so i want to cover it!

^It's hands down the best foundation for oily acne skin. Nothing comes close. You just need to put a little and build up slowly where you need more coverage. Some people accuse it of being heavy but that's just because they're used to put too much makeup on to cover their problem areas. With this you need very little.
The only bad thing is their shade selection, but I think they have more shades available in Europe now. If your acne isn't so bad you could try the Double Wear Light foundation too. It's what I use in the summer, or when I don't need to cover that much
I just lightly dust a translucent powder on top and I'm good to go

Has anyone tried the Nude Velvet lipstick? I feel a need to have it, but I'm wondering if it's worth the price

A look at Spring 2012 - I love the snakeskin effect on the surface of the Gelee compact, but after a few sweeps of the brush, that would start disappearing, so it really would have to offer good performance (temptalia.com):

Quote:
Estee Lauder Spring 2012 Collection: Topaz
“My inspiration behind the collection was vacationing in Arizona, enjoying the warm sun, the amazing desert colors and the shadows that play on the sand and rocks. I was thinking of a gorgeously healthy-looking woman that had an element of fantasy in her personality. I wanted to convey that with a palette of strong yet soft colors.” — Tom Pecheux, Creative Makeup Director, Estée Lauder
Pure Color Five Color Eyeshadow Palette ($45.00) (Limited Edition)
  • Topaz Mosaic - Sun-drenched neutral desert tones with an unexpected pop of citron yellow
Pure Color Intense Kajal Eye Crayon ($22.00) (Limited Edition)
  • Dramatic Black - Black
  • Dramatic Teal - Turquoise
Pure Color Illuminating Powder Gelee ($40.00) (Limited Edition)
  • Topaz Chameleon - Sun-kissed warmth
Pure Color Gloss ($22.50) (Limited Edition)
  • Citron Kiss - Sparkling citrus yellow sheen
Pure Color Sensuous Rouge Lip Color ($28.00) (Limited Edition)
  • Sultry Caramel - Golden bronze
  • Sensuous Nude - Seductive natural
  • Sublime Nectar - Soft coral
Pure Color Nail Lacquer ($19.00) (Limited Edition)
  • Teal Topaz - Tranquil yet vibrant blue-green

I uses the Cyberwhite Brillant Cells range. It's great! I got in here in Asia and wonder if anyone can get this range from US Estee Lauder counter too. In addition, i uses Advance Night Repair since i was 25. It's really akin to buying insurance for your skin!

When I wore foundation every day, I used Estee Lauder - at the time, they were the only high-end brand that actually did foundation in a pale enough shade to suit me, and the formula suited my skin as well.

^ I agree. I now use EL's double wear light in Intensity 1.0 in the winter and Intensity 2.0 in the summer and both shades match my skin perfectly. Its so nice to have finally found THE perfect foundation for my skin. There was definitely a lot of trial and error .
