is it possible for body lotion to go bad? i just found a box of old body lotions (victoria's secret, bath and body works, etc...) and i'm not sure how long ago i was using these... in any case, is it safe to use them? i feel like i would be wasting them if i threw them all away, but then again... i'd rather "waste" them than break out in a rash....

(mods- i'm not sure if this was posted in the right place.. if not, please move to the appropriate locale..)

The guy recommends getting rid of skincare products after they've aged a year and a half. He doesn't really specify why, but he seems to know what he's talking about...

hm... the article talks about "spring cleaning"... to purge what you don't need and possibly giving it to someone that might need it or use it. doesn't really say anything about body lotions either.... maybe it would just be safer to throw out... aye, such a waste...

Maybe you could try testing it on a small area of your skin? That would let you test for a rash, but I don't know how you would test that they're doing whatever they're supposed to do. If they're just moisturizer, they're probably ok...I think. It depends on exactly how old....
