Hmm, I've never plucked my eyebrows. Wait, no, I plucked one hair once, but decided that it hurt and that I was too scared to go any further.

I'm dark blonde with kind of fine hair, so my eyebrows aren't dark, but they also aren't invisible. They aren't very full, either. I'm sixteen, but I hate the look of most brow-pluckers my age (which is partially why I avoid it). I don't want my eyebrows to look plucked, just neat and nicely shaped.

I also a) don't want to go to a stylist (which would involve asking my mum for a ride, etc) and am kind of a coward about this kind of thing. I'm afraid I'll mess it up. Any hints?

Isn't there some sort of pencil trick? Something about laying a pencil across your face at a certain angle to see the proper angle of your brows?

I'm dubious about the whole situation.

If you keep plucking, eventually it will stop hurting when you do it. My brow area is totally impervious to pain after 10 years of tweezing. It didn't take 10 years for the pain to go away, though. It took maybe about a year.

I pluck/wax and trim them....I like to have perfect arches...it doesn't look good when a girl has untidy brows....it doesn't do anything for her...plus, just changing your eyebrows changes your face...its framed much better if your brows are clean and neat...

Like I think Jennifer Connelly is pretty but would look better with some eyebrow sculpting..

no way i love her eyebrows along with natalia V. I hate how girls in my class overpluck and end up with inch long eyebrows with no arch and think it looks good.

ok, mine look like brooke shields's, but i'm a dude. is that ok? i had them primped once and they just waxed off the very fine, light stray stuff on the top and of course the little unibrow hairs and then plucked underneath to clean it up and give a little arch and shape. best my eyebrows had ever looked! after that i kinda just plucked it all myself where the littl ehairs started growing back in.

weird question -- how do you change the direction the hairs are growing? in the middle for me some of the hairs grow straight out or even kinda down. its weird and i would pluck em out but if i did it would look like they are too far apart. how do i fix them?

you can't change the 'direction' they grow but you can 'train' them to follow your instructions. use a brow wax & comb your brows.
you could use hairspray too but i wouldn't recommend it

I totally agree about Jennifer Connelly. She has nice dark dramatic features and a strong brow really suits her.
