weird question -- how do you change the direction the hairs are growing? in the middle for me some of the hairs grow straight out or even kinda down. its weird and i would pluck em out but if i did it would look like they are too far apart. how do i fix them?
you can't change the 'direction' they grow but you can 'train' them to follow your instructions. use a brow wax & comb your brows.
you could use hairspray too but i wouldn't recommend it [/b][/quote]
where would one buy it? any reccomended brands?

benefit do a brow kit - brow zing which includes brow wax but it's pigmented. not sure if you'd mind that but it the BEST brow wax imo
otherwise there's LORAC brow wax / paula dorf etc
not sure if you wanna use a girlie product tho
another idea is to use clear brow gel which comes in a tube like mascara. something like this specifically for guys . .
studio5ive haven't heard of the brand before but you could try it out

hope this helps

I thought I might be the only one who likes to pluck my eyebrows!
Nope, we're all just a bunch of weirdos!

Eyebrows are very important! They can change someone's entire appearance. I don't like plucking mine though. I'd rather get them waxed.

i TOTALLY agree. They can make or break your face.

My fav eyebrow looks are the brook shields- very nice and full.
you have to be careful with brows- not all hairs that you tweeze will grow back.

I brusk mine using upward strokes at least 15 times a day. I think its so important to have them looking your best.

mine are very important they frame your face! That's why it looks sad when people who have chemo lose their hair and eyebrows.... My eyebrows are naturally on the bigger size (not huge just right) so I can have very shapely eyebrows or more natural model ones.. I need to go have mine done right now.

Wahoooooooooo an eyebrow topic. My friends think I am the only freak with books devoted to the eyebrow -which along with the forehead and the cheekbone form the triumvirate of the most fascinating features ever.

The best eyebrows are:

1) Thick, thick, thick!! I would rather be that photo of Brooke Shields someone posted than those dreadful 40s movie stars or 70s models with little worms on the heads. Thick eyebrows are luxuriant, glamourous and naturally beautiful. Thin are cold and anaemic and do not frame the features well enough.
a) Jennifer Connelly (who said her eyebrows weren't astounding? Are you tripping. She is the
benchmark of great eyebrows!! They are flat and thick and a bit unkempt in the middle and
frame her gorgeous upward ended almond eyes perfectly)
http://www.celebrity-exchange.com/celebs/p...er-connelly.jpg
Angelina Jolie: occasionally too thin and too arched especially for her perfect larger thanlife
features but perfect here:
http://www.palmyria.co.uk/scans/angelinajo...re_200401bc.jpg
c) Keira Knightley: Perfect and thick especially when she is her best brunette self. I first saw
her in coming home when I (and she) were about 11 and was amazed. Then she hit the
mainstream in The Hole and I thought she had lost something and it was only when she
went back to brunette that I realised that ewwww it was the blonde.
http://www.palmyria.co.uk/scans/keiraknigh...re_200408ab.jpg
d) Rachel Weisz: Luxuriant and glamorous. The best of North London Jewish beauty
http://www.palmyria.co.uk/scans/rachelweis...pire_200106.jpg
e) Aishwarya Rai: Of course Bollywood is the home of the eyebrow and Indian woman (as well
as those amazing Arab woman) understand this feature the best. Aishwarya is obviously
the ultimate
http://perso.club-internet.fr/pschuler/Cin...hwarya-rai3.jpg

2) Flat or lightly arched shapes are the best (high arches do work on some people ie Michelle Pfeiffer: http://www.ochoymedio.info/images/fotos/PZ...llepfeiffer.jpg or Rebecca Gayheart: . Flat eyebrows are unusual and have a unique look
a) Ana Beatrice Barros: http://members.fortunecity.com/anabb/catwalk13.jpg
Jessica Alba (who sometimes resembles Ana Beatrice:
http://www.wgallery.org/gallery/j_alba/jma24.jpg
c) Audrey Hepburn: Perhaps the most iconic brows?
http://classicbeauty.tripod.com/ah002.jpg
d) Jennifer Love Hewitt. Not the prettiest of people but there is something endearing in the
flatness of her brows:
http://www.perfectpeople.net/media/celebs/...-1075537501.jpg

3) I love eyebrows whose tails soar NB This does not mean they arch!! They can still be flat or slighly arched with a tail that does not come back down
a) Eugenia Volodina: See flat but the ends stay up. The ends are illustrated better in the
second photo
http://perso.club-internet.fr/yangabin/lam.../hiver20022003/
couvEugeniaVolodina2VoRussieAout02.jpg
http://www.geocities.com/eugenia_volodina2...gaultier-04.jpg
b)Natalie Portman: The first person whose brows struck me as being the 'soaring' variety
http://hem.passagen.se/cmb/mrm/scans/mirac..._portman_04.jpg
c) Gisele: Very similar to Eugenia at times -but thinner and not so extravagant. Note the
flatness of Fernanda's brows here and how cool Gisele's eyes are -almost lidless.
http://geocities.yahoo.com.br/d_arter_br/g...e/gisele017.jpg
d) Fernanda Tavares: Boy do the Brazilians have it. Grr
http://ftavares.kmmod.com/face/original/face06.jpg

4) Eyebrows that I can only describe as 'furry on the inside' as in they don't look polished on the inside. I think this is a either you have it or you don't because unless you draw or tattoo the hairs in, they are genetic. Most people's hairs proabably grow downwards rather than out from the centre which is necessary for the look. It is not necessary and quite subtle but I like it. Any of this making sense? Hopefully the pictures can explain
a) Ava Gardner: http://themave.com/bijou/50/galry/galry-ava.jpg
Monica Bellucci: http://www.vasconvolti.it/Vip/Foto%20Monic...cci/Mony031.jpg
c) Grace Kelly (less furry but she was very polished and for much of her career the 'fur' was
removed
http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Bouleva...812/grace08.htm
d) Aurelie Claudel: http://perso.club-internet.fr/yangabin/mod...aurelieclaudel/
11paureliec.JPG

5) Square ended eyebrows are far better than rounded tadpole ended ones and they should either be completely neatly squared off or slightly fanned.

Man I should write a book. But hey I am the only freak who would want to read it or wallow in the pictures of women far better looking than myself :*(

I love love love Jennifer Connelly's eyebrows I want them soo bad! My eyebrows look like Grace Kellys in that picture I think. Man when I was like 12 or maybe a little older my sister screwed my eyebrows up sooooo bad! They were like pencil thin I was soo mad at her and it hurt because she had to take alot of "fur" off! Her eyebrows are naturally thinner and have a arch. What I hate is one of my eyebrows grows in a different shape... Maybe when I get a chance I'll take a picture of them and you can tell me what shape I should have someone do.
