good thread topic...

Well I like things that are filling, so that you dont have to stuff your face every 30 minutes...
unsalted nuts help me thru the day- they are not low cal, but they are good for you and they keep your tummy content.

usually I try to calm down the hunger with fruits like melons, grapes, mangos. I dont eat apples because I get stomach pain from them.

whatever you do, this is my dr's advice. dont eat food which have low fat on them, they are low in fat but high in carbs and its empty energy so you eat more. Cos ages ago i had a carbs over dose were all my energy was from them and then theyd were of and id just collapse exhausted, and the dr said id been eating to many low fat foods eg. weight watchers food etc.
Try drinking more ice cold water, it burns calories, and most hunger pangs are actually thirst pangs. Some people dont know the difference, so eat unneccesary food.
Watermelon is low in cals, and in my oppinion is so nice.
oat cakes are also nice low calories and really filling as a snack one or 2 will do i eat about 10 for my lunch, fills me right up

Fruit and veggies are great; they fill you up w/out all the calories of fattier foods (though, the 'full' feeling doesn't last long). I think Cherries are an awesome fruit, not only are they tasty but they're also fun to eat (and because you have to spit out the pits, it takes you longer to eat them, thus giving your body time to aknowledge the fact that it's full).

And calorie-free-sugar-free flavored water is a really great thing to have if you're craving sweets.

Darn it, reminds me I need to go back on the diet...

Jell-O- light has 8 cals per 125ml
All sorts of fruits, my favourite is watermelon.
wheat puffs 50 cals per cup
Fat free chocolate fudgsicles 40 cals
Ricecrackers 35 cals
um... if I think of more I'll add to the list.

Usually I'd grab a cup of coffee or tea if I feel hungry when I'm not supposed to. Like tiamaria have said, sometimes people mistaken thirst for hunger.
