I agree but lately i get sick when i eat peanuts Is it possibel to "suddenly" develop an allergy? I love peanuts!

Carrots as suggested by model mom. Celery 'cos it has lotsa fiber and keeps you full while being low in cals. Cherry tomatoes. Lotsa vitamins.

Yes you can get an allegey at any time of your life although it sounds more like an intollerance to me, if you just feel or are sick.

^ yes i think intolerance would be more correct. My mom says maybe it's because I ate the peanuts when my tummy was empty but it wasn't a problem before. It's not like I ate a lot either ... about half a handful. I wonder because I got the same feeling (like puking) the last couple of times I ate peabuts. Too much of a coincidence.

Eat something high in fiber and protein. Fruits are always a good choice as well as a handful of nuts. These make you fuller, longer. You're feeling hungry is not a good sign, I hope you are eating several small meals throughout the day, this will curb any snack attacks you might have.

I agree with you guys that almonds and peanuts (bluestar-dont feel bad, LOTS of people have an intolerance for peanuts when they get older, dont know why) but they are SOOOO high in calorie. An ounce of almonds is roughly 200 calories. Definitely trying to keep my snacks low cal.

^ Absolutely, nuts are little fat stores for trees to grow from.

I'm under strict orders from my dentist to eat less fruit as the acid is killing/denaturing everything in my mouth, but fruit does make a good snack.

A lot of things that people percieve as being 'bad' for you, prevent snacking. Steak, for example, is very filling and does you a lot less harm than a Mars bar and a packet of crisps.

Frozen grapes are a favorite low-cal treat of mine.

Also, Dill has these tobasco pickles that solve any salt craving. 5 calories a piece.
