I got an amazing one from Boots 17 recently - it's called Hot Chilli and it's a really vibrant orangey bright red.

My other fave is MAC Lady Bug

Does anyone know a browny red lipstick? Which brand and number? Thank you so much.
This kind of shade.

I have brown hair (naturally) that I dye red (but I haven't dyed it for a while). I wear whatever red I want, honestly! I have two reds by Smashbox that I think are divine reds (one darker, one bright hot red). I'm very, very, very fair complexion though and a lot of people say red looks great on me because of that porcelain doll thing.

I am a true believer that anybody can wear reds though---regardless of what type of red, what type of skin color etc. I think it's more about confidence than anything. I'm not a confident woman, per se, but once I got used to wearing reds I developed a whole new confidence for it specifically.

absolutely love ruby woo by mac. it's a vintage matte and just the perfect red if you're pale (though i lend it to my tanned friends and it looks amazing on them too)

when reapplying try and take bits that have built up off so they don't get all cakey?

I've been using L'oreal Endless Lip color in Crimson Joy since I was about 15. I've tried so many more expensive lipsticks, but nothing lasts as well, or has the right color. I've had MAC makeup artists ask me what lipstick I'm wearing and when i tell them L'oreal they seem a little dissapointed, haha.

i have seriously pale skin.. as in never ever ever tanned skin... dark brown hair, a few freckles, dark brows and light blue eyes... i use russian red by MAC and it hasn't failed me yet. i'm slowly experimenting with hair/clothes to make sure that i rock it so to speak. has anyone (who is also very pale) tried out the purpley-reds from the recent dior collections?

i always use a chapstick before it so my lips are soft, it just takes a bit of pressure!!

but it's a vintage look one so i guess you wouldn't get the same matte look if you had it creamier

I love red lipstick. But it took me awhile to find one that didn't make me look like a psycho clown since I'm so pale.

I love red lipstick too, but I'm still searching for the perfect one. And this is how I look with. Any more suggestions are more than welcome.

^That lipstick looks a bit orange. I would try something a little more blue-based, like MAC Red, or MAC Russian Red.

^^Yes, I know (it wasn't my choice anyway, it was for the show).
Unfortunately we don't have MAC here, but I regret that I didn' buy some when I had a chance.

Do you use lip pencil with red lipstick?

I use Red Lipstick in a Gloss Form. It glides smoothly on my lips, and then it dries to stay all day. I find that I have to put some Gloss on it to bring the color back to life because it dries abit too much... but overall it's great!
