I absolutely LOVE their products. If it weren't for my discovery of their oil-free range, I still would've been distraught with the horrendous skin I had. I remember last year just walking into one of their stores at my local mall and they recommended the Ultra facial oil-free face wash along with the accompanying products it works along with and BAM, my skin cleared up immediately. Yes, I do get the occasional pimples here and there and my skin isn't the best, but it's cleared up tremendously.

avocado eye cream is lovely and really hydrating and feels nice, but it's quite thick and it's really only good for hydration. it has no collagen-stimulating or anti-aging properties, except that the avocado oil strengthens the lipid barrier on the skin.

for your face -- is your skin fair, tan, freckly? do you have large pores, nearly invisible pores? does your skin react to certain ingredients? do you have food allergies? and what is the effect that you're looking for? are you just looking for a good moisturizer to keep the skin balanced and hydrated - or are you looking for anti-aging ingredients? how old are you?

lol. sorry for all the questions, but Kiehl's has a million products and they're all pretty specific to your particular skin type and concern. and i'm not familiar with all of them, but certainly familiar with the ingredients and could make a recommendation for you.

the other thing is that they do "skin barrier tests" there to measure the amount of oils on your skin and then do a consultation to figure out which products would be best for you. i have a friend who used to work for kiehl's (which is how i know so much .. and also why i got to try so many things without paying for them. lol) and i know that she went through a fairly extensive training program before ever being able to actually recommend products to the customers. they know what they're talking about in there, i think.
Wow! Haha thank you! It's like having my own personal Kiehl's assistant.

To answer your questions, yes I'm in the UK - I guess it's fairly humid here?! The only dry place I've ever been is Australia so I'm not too sure haha! It just rains a lot.

I'm very fair skinned, usually the lightest shade in any brand of foundation, I'm NW15 in MAC if that means anything! I have dark blonde/light brown hair and my skin will put up with pretty much anything, it's not sensitive in any way. I don't have any real problems apart from my skin looks a little dull/dry sometimes and my eyes can look tired (I spend far too much time at work). I'm 20 so a little young for anti ageing yet! I'm just looking for something to keep my skin feeling fresh/hydrated. I tend to lean towards gel creams and products that feel cooling on my skin if that makes any sense at all!

Thank you so much for your help, I shall definitely take a visit to a counter sometime soon and get one of those tests done if I can!

gel creams tend to be formulated for people with combination or oily skin so i doubt that they're providing the kind of hydration that your skin needs.

here's what i'd use if i were you with your skin:

acai cleanser (it's a foam cleanser, but it's refreshing and smells gorgeous and 100% natural)
acai toner (it's a spray one that you can use anytime during the day. feels fresh, smells like bitter orange and is anti-oxidant rich, so it'll help protect your young skin from environmental stressors. also 100% natural)
vitamin c serum. it's called the "powerful strength line-reducing concentrate", but that's obviously not a concern of yours. the benefit of the high concentration of vitamin c is that it really adds a healthy glow to the skin. will combat the dullness you mentioned.
ultra facial cream or acai moisturizer. the UFC is great at basic hydration. it keeps your skin soft and supple. the acai has the added benefits of all the natural antioxidant ingredients, but feels a little tacky and also costs waaay more.

for tired eyes, go with the men's eye cream. the "eye alert". it's what i use and it's great!

I've had a travel size of their Açai toner... I was so sad when I was done with it! I feel like its scent really helped me wake up in the morning.

Thanks so much! You should definitely get a job there!

Has anyone tried the Soothing Gel Masque? I have combination/oily skin but I'm looking for a hydrating mask for those times when I feel my skin needs a little more hydration (especially on winter months or when taking long plane flights -random, I know).

I use some of their products and I'm very happy with them.

I wash my face with the Facial Fuel Energizing Face Wash, using the Clarisonic Mia. I must say I enjoy it more in the morning as the "energizing" effect is more enjoyable in the morning than at night. I might need another one that I could use at night, but I don't know if that's recommended or not (I only started taking care of my skin a few weeks ago ).

My boyfriend recently got me some of their shaving products and they work perfectly. I shave with the Ultimate Brushless Shave Cream White Eagle and then apply some Ultimate Men's After Shave Balm & Moisturizer.

I also have the Facial Fuel No-Shine Moisturizing Lip Balm in my bag

^ If you are not a daily shaver, I highly recommend the Close-Shavers Shaving Formula. My husband loves it!
