ive got some unopened sample packets of bobbi brown moisture rich foundation and luminous moisturizing foundation in Honey and Warm Natural that were way to light for me.
thanks mizblue
luckily ive gotten hella samples over the past few days,
from make up forever, armani, bobbi brown and laura m
ive worn each for a day except the bobbi brown (thats for tommorrow), and out of those i would def say laura mercier felt the best on my face. make up forever was too cakey(but i was using the matte finish, so maybe that had something to do with it.)
armani was nice and shimmery but the samples didnt match my shade exactly.
laura m oilfree foundation in Suntan beige was a *tiny* bit dark in certain lighting which is annoying, but it felt marvelous, it just glided on so nicely.
so i dunno, ill try the bobbi brown tomm and then make my final decision.
this is seriously a chore.
thank god for samples.
Welcome angelfish, oh its too bad about Laura M cos out of all foundations that I have tried, I liked LM the best.
On Monday, I was @ Eizabeth Arden for 1/2 a day for my B/day and was able to get a free makeup consultation with my package, The artist did well and she tried their foundation on my face, it felt good and looked like it matched but when I went out in the sun, it looked a bit dark. I'd say give E. Arden a try too.
Good luck and let us know what worked
I have LUST and its pretty nice, Def. will look into Spite, thanks for the Recs!
Also, HUG ME is really good l/s to wear under LUST for a more intense look IMO for night
I dont know if this has already been asked, but I dont have time to read this entire thread. I am medium-dark tone maybe a shade darker than Halle Berry anyone know what colour blush would suit my skin tone- from like Nars or Mac? any reccomendations would be great tia!
I like Lovejoy from Nars. Its sort of a brown/copper/gold. It depends on what shades you like though. I am about your color (I think) and that works really well.

For something more berry, I love Chanel Fantasia. Its more like a pink/berry bronzer with iridescence but it doesn’t scream unless you apply with a heavy hand. I tend to like blushes that is not obvious. http://specktra.net/f170/chanel-joue...antasia-66584/
For reference Im an NC 43, with dark olive skin one to two shades darker than Thandie Newton, and jet-black hair
High end brands have consistently failed to match my skin (foundations.concealers), so Im sticking to what works, I have not yet tried Becca, Prescriptives or Makeup Forever, but till then:
Currently Im using Iman's second to none stick foundation in Clay 1. The color is a little darker than my face but blends perfectly. Beautiful coverage and dry consistency (I live in the tropic so dry is a good thing).
For concealer I use Clinique's Line Smoothing concealer in Medium Honey (09). Every other concealer I've tried doesn't even come close to blending with my skin tone. This one works and as long as you know how to apply it properly, it won't crease.
For blush I love:
Covergirl's Cheekers in Rock N Rose (very natural) Mac's Bronzing Powder in refined Golden Wet n Wild's Mega Glo iluminating powder in Starlight Bronze (for when I want lots of shimmer to contour)
I like pale lips that stand out, so my favorite lipstick right now: Wet n Wild's Mega colors lipstick in Pure sky (its like a violet medium beige that translates to nude in my lip; I love that is not a pale beigy pink like the rest of the nudes I've tried)
Also from Wet n Wild, Cafe out Lait (because its pale, shimmery and glows in the dark, not very natural though)
Eyeliner:
My staple has to be Clinique's Cream liner in True Black. Smooth, jet black, doesn't budge nor smudge, easy to remove, perfect for inner rims, love it. Blacktrack from MAc is great too, but I like this better.
Hope this helps someone, because I KNOW its hell to find shades to suit mixed ethnicity, black and indian gals
