NYX Cosmetics
What do you think about their products? Do you think they have good lasting power and a lot of pigment? I think that the colours of the eyeshadows, lipsticks etc look so gorgeous on the www.nyccosmetics.com but they probably don't look like that in real life.

nope, the color IRL (at least for lipstick) is so different from their website.

the lipstick is very pigmented and quite moisturizing. eyeshadow also very pigmented.

my fave is their eyeshadow pencil. so smooth....

and they're so darn cheap.....

I always see this brand in ULTA and have never tried it.

The eyeshadows looks so nice- thanks for letting us know that they are indeed quite pigmented floodette!! I hate wanting to try out different colors, buying drugstore brands, only to end up realizing that the colors are barely pigmented- drives me crazy.

There's a coupon in the new ULTA catalog for $5 any purchase $10 or more. I think I'l have to try some NYX eyeshadows with this.

nyx has a cult following. it is the ONLY low end brand that i can think of who is CONSISTENTLY good. i will find one or two items in drug store brands that i may like but it's more chance than anything...

nyx's lineup is smaller than mac, but i would say the quality is the same if not better esp in some of their shimmer or pearl colors for eyeshadow.

ellesea- really, they compare to MAC wow!

So I just did some research on NYX, and you're right, they do have a cult following! Most of the reviews on the blogs are very good, great pigmentation and lasting power.

Apparently they sell nyx about 45 minutes from where I live. I might have to head over to that store in a few weeks. I can always do with more eyeshadow- especially pigmented ones!

I've heard nothing but raves about this line. I have tried the foundation. It is very pale for fair ladies like myself. I don't like it that much because it doesn't give me the coverage I'm used to and I think it breaks me out but apparently the real stars of the line are in the color cosmetics.

I like the jumbo eyeshadow pencils. "Yogurt" is a favorite. I have a brown shadow trio that I like. I want to try more. I also like their lipgloss. I have "Natural" and also a Diamond Glitter Gloss--sparkling rose. I like it alot. The gloss applicator wand is on a slant but it is fine to me. The eyeshadow compacts have a nice feel.

I bought mine at Ulta. www.cherryculture.com has some NYX eye products on sale. It is hard to judge the colors on the Cherry Culture web site.

i heard that their e/s has better quality than their trio which is not as 'creamy' as the single.

cherryculture and nyx website sadly are totally off when it comes to color. your best bet is to find swatches in MUA or blogs.

their round lipstick is ok. hugely crazily wide color selection, moisturing on my lips and less than $5

I really like their lip gloss in Natural. It's the perfect "my lips but better" color. It's a little more pigmented than most glosses though.

I really like their eyeliners, they have waterproof ones that are comparable to Make Up Forever's and Mac's waterproof eyeliners but they're way cheaper. The glitter eyeliners are fun too.

I have 2 jumbo eyeliner pencils from them and I really like them. My favorite is Iced Mocha it goes great with my dark eyeliner. The other one I have is dark brown and since it's so dark and the pencil is so large that one is a little bit hard to use without looking like you have too much on but overall they're great sticks

My first NYX shadows. Chick, Hot Orange, and Cherry. Wonderful pigmentation. I didn't even have to use them wet to get the great color impact. Here's the look I did with them.
