has anyone tried An Affair in Red Square? i'm just wondering how it looks on, because in the bottle it looks like a beautiful red with shimmer.

yesterday i picked up Russian Navy and Midnight in Moscow. i was surprised by how purple Russian Navy looked in the bottle, but when i swatched it, it looked more navy. Midnight in Moscow looks plummy in the bottle but nearly black with the most subtle red shimmer when swatched. of course Vodka and Caviar was sold out!

An Affair in Red Square might satisfy my craving for red though.

I didn't buy it but sampled it at the salon....
it is a beautiful red shimmer...
but I thought it was a bit too shimmery for my taste.
I think it looks more shimmery on the nail than in the bottle.

^ hey, thanks! i read somewhere that it was kind of a red 'foil' look. hmm, i might pass on this one. i'm looking for something like Dorothy's ruby slippers.

NARS has a polish coming in the holiday collection called Saratoga... it's a shimmery ruby red and looks beautiful. just might be the one.

I went hunting for Russian Navy yesterday and couldnt find it ANYWHERE. It was all sold out! I was pretty sad...

My manicurist made me try Russian Navy and I was very hesitant because well ...its a blue and I'm not one to wear blue polish. But I was pleasantly surprised and I love it. I got Midnight in Moscow too and i'm hooked.

I've got russian navy on now, so pretty! looks great with all my grey, indigo & yellows I'm wearing now. I love how the purple flash is just visible up close. very cool.

I made my manicurist sell me her bottle... really really love the color!

^ Russian Navy does look so great when worn with neutrals or complementary colors - i love it! it looks like a basic metallic navy until you're in the sun or bright light, and then all those colors of shimmer just pop out. i'm really loving this entire collection... i'll probably have every polish when all is said and done.
