Permanent Makeup
Does anyone here have makeup that's actually tattooed (permanently) to your face? Or seen it on someone?

I remember a long time ago I was watching a talk show and a woman actually had makeup tattooed to her face because she was extremely obsessed with her appearance. She had permanent blue eye shadow, rosy cheeks, and plum colored lips.

There was also a person on the show who only had very few teeth because she thought her teeth were ugly. She couldn't get an actual dentist to do it for her so she pulled her teeth out herself.

Unless it's completely necessary for medical reasons, I don't see any need to have permanent makeup on your face or have teeth pulled out! geez

On a different show, "Ripley's Believe it or Not" some guy was actually having surgery performed to make himself look like Michael Jackson.

Crazy what some people will do

I have a friend in miami who has permanent makeup - ahe also does it for a living, so she did it on herself to show people. It looks really odd - she has eyeliner, lipstick and even blush. She said you dont need a license to do it and she makes good money. I think its absurd but whatever floats your boat.

I think its nuts what happens if you like a trend get it on your face and then the next season its not cool....wouldnt you feel stupid.

Yea the part about the guy operating on himself that reminds me of a model on the tv show CSI. That killed herself trying to fix her face with her nail set and she was beautiful.

i know tons of people who had it done.
the worst is EYEBROWS because it will never look natural if you aint got any eyebrows to begin with

the best would be EYELINER and a subtle LIPLINER. that looks good on most

I cannot imagine who would want to go to an unlicensed, unregulated person and ask them to tattoo a fraction of an inch from one's eyeball.

I was looking for pictures of people with tacky tattooed blush and lipstick and stuff to post on this thread, and in my search found some valid medical reasons why a person would want to get tattooed makeup. I read one case of a woman who had gotten a masectomy and had someone recreate a nipple for her. Some people get it to cover hair loss. So tattooed makeup can be a godsend for people in certain situations.

But still I think that tattooing lipliner, lipstick, eyeliner and the like is silly and smacks of vanity/laziness.

yeah, I agree with HBoogie that for some people it's really necessary in some cases.

on another note... "silly and smacks of vanity/laziness"-
I've heard stories of women who apply makeup to their face before they go to bed so that if for some reason something should happen during the night, like the police come or a needed emergency visit to the hospital, heaven forbid that people see her when she does not have her "face" on. This falls under the extreme vanity category.

My old roomie had blue eyeliner. Then she decided that was too disco and put black over it. Then she filled in her eyebrows. Then I moved out.
